My father-in-law was able to get us all tickets to the final Sox game of the season in his company's luxury box. Dude. This box has RUINED ME for baseball at Fenway. Nothing will ever be as awesome, or as convenient with a fidgety toddler. We thought about taking her to a game earlier this summer and I'm glad we didn't because there's no way she'd have been able to sit in the regular stands. The box was awesome because she could go inside and outside whenever she wanted, free endless snacks, food & drinks (sausage sandwiches, steak tips, hot dogs, Legal Seafood chowder, pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, haagan daas ice cream, fancy fruit and cheese and cracker plate, pretzels, peanuts, chips & dip, beer, wine, water, soda...insane. All free!), giant TV on the wall (tuned to the Patriots game), private bathroom with TV (this part was key with the potty training toddler!), leather furniture, laptops with internets...seriously it was awesome! I always laughed at the luxury box people, prefering to see the game with the "real fans," but let me tell you, I am a real fan and this was totally freaking sweet. I will likely never be able to experience it again (all the boxes are owned by big corporations...my father-in-law has worked for his company for 25 years and this is his first time in the box...) but I definitely enjoyed it while I was there. And the Sox won. Good day.

Baby Robin Second Batch in 2011

The second batch of baby Robins was not in the same nest, and this nest was much harder to get to in order to take pictures. It was the same Mama & Papa Robin, and they had another clutch of 4 eggs, but i just couldn't watch what was happening very well.

I should explain that I took these pictures for the second batch out of the same window in the upstairs bedroom, that I took the first batch. The *climbing around* I had to do was in the bedroom and on the furniture to get an angle out the window. I didn't climb around in the tree. This nest was much harder to see from the window than the first one.

¦ Ikea Expedit

I think that the Expedit shelf by Ikea is a really stylish piece of
furniture that might be one of the depicting furnishing elements of the
'00 years. I know a lot of people and companys owning some because
Expedits are following an easy and streamlined design concept, offer a
lot of space for stuff and are extendable with more Expedits or elements
like boxes and drawers . And of course, they are unbeatable cheap.

I have been owning the one 2x4 Expedit seen here for quite some time. It
is housing my turntables and mixer. I've eleveated it with capita legs
to have an ergonomic working posisition. Vinyl records and the dj
equipment fit perfectly.

Last week, I bought two more Expedits. One 2x2 with capita legs
extending my DJ Expedit. And another 2x4 for keyboards on the top and
"stuff" in the fillings as a sideboard to my working desk.

Wipe Warmer Stand

So, we got a nifty wipe warmer for the soon-to-be-born kid from two of our most cherished friends. We went into the nursery to scope out the right location and, whattayaknow, there is no right location. We needed a stand. At my wife's urging I went online to look for plant and/or telephone stands, but they run from $150 to $300 for anything we'd actually want.

So I went downstairs, found some nice plywood and cheap pine, and built this. As of this photo the top isn't attached, but you get the general idea.

The legs are set at about 5.7 degrees off vertical, with a 2.5 degree cut to thin them as they reach the ground. The lower shelf has an edge beveled at the same angle. The top piece is beveled in the opposite direction at the same angle, an effect visible only at a relatively close distance.

New Urbanism In New Jersey

This is a street in Livingston Town Center, a new development in Livingston, New Jersey. It's a compact block mixing detached houses, townhouses, condo apartments, and stores with each other in a walkable mixed-use neighborhood - the kind of streetscape that towns used to build before cookie-cutter autocentric suburban developments came along. The New Urbanist movement supports developments like this as a form of traditional neighborhood development, or TND - everything you need (including a transit stop) within a walk of each other, with building density that encourages community among the residents. Note how the houses here are close together, rather than being set on their own one-acre pods.

W plaskim krajobrazie, w widlach Wisly i Dunajca, otoczony drzewami stoi skromny dwor o charakterystycznej, tradycyjnej formie siedziby szlacheckiej. Ma drewniane, bielone sciany i wysoki dach kryty gontem. Od frontu znajduje sie ganek oparty na dwoch filarach i obrosniety dzikim winem, a przed nim – kolisty gazon.
Pierwszy dwor w Doledze postawiono ok. 1820 r., kiedy to wies zostala zakupiona przez prywatnych wlascicieli (podczas licytacji dobr koscielnych przejetych przez rzad austriacki). Wczesniej Dolega nalezala do posiadlosci biskupstwa krakowskiego. Obecny dwor zostal wybudowany w polowie XIX w. przez Marie Pikuzinska- -Guntherowa. Corka Marii i Aleksandra Gunthera, Maria Guntherowna, wyszla za maz za pisarza Ignacego Maciejowskiego („Sewera”), dzieki ktoremu na przelomie XIX i XX w. we dworze bywali Adam Asnyk, Wlodzimierz Tetmajer, Lucjan Rydel, Stanislaw Przybyszewski, a takze mlody Stanislaw Wyspianski.
Majatek uniknal parcelacji po II wojnie swiatowej i az do lat 70. XX w. byl wlasnoscia Jadwigi z Wolskich Tumidajskiej, ktora odziedziczyla go po przodkach. W 1973 r. przekazala ona dwor panstwu z przeznaczeniem na muzeum. Od dwudziestu lat z ramienia Muzeum Okregowego w Tarnowie gospodaruja w nim Irena i Wladyslaw Konieczni.
Modrzewiowy, parterowy dwor zbudowano w konstrukcji zrebowej na planie podkowy. Glowny trakt z gankiem, mieszczacy jadalnie, salon i gabinet, pelnil role reprezentacyjna. Skrzydla byly prywatna przestrzenia gospodarzy: we wschodnim skrzydle znajdowaly sie sypialnie, a w zachodnim – kuchnia i spizarnia.
W salonie, urzadzonym meblami biedermeierowskimi i secesyjnymi, mozna obejrzec fotografie Guntherow oraz ich przyjaciol bywajacych w Doledze. Narozny gabinet, wyposazony XIX-wiecznym kompletem mebli z orzecha, miesci pamiatki zwiazane z powstaniem styczniowym i rabacja chlopska. Z gabinetu prowadzi wejscie do pokoju prof. Michala Siedleckiego, wybitnego biologa i podroznika. Ostatni pokoj ekspozycji – sypialnie Jadwigi Tumidajskiej, urzadzona secesyjnymi meblami, zdobia podarowane jej przez Jana Bartosinskiego obrazy autorstwa Stanislawa Wyspianskiego. W zabytkowych wnetrzach zachowaly sie takze piece kaflowe z polowy XIX w.

Dolega
Manor

Amid the flat landscape between the Wisla and Dunajec rivers, surrounded with trees and preceded by a round lawn, stands a country manor. It has the modest and characteristic aspect of a traditional home of Polish gentry: wooden, whitewashed walls, a tall shingle roof, and a front porch supported on two pillars overgrown with vines.
The first manor in Dolega was built around 1820, when the village was bought by private owners at the auction of former ecclesiastical estates appropriated by the Austrian government. Prior to that, Dolega belonged to the domain of the Krakow bishopric. The present manor was built on the commission of Maria Pikuzinska-Guntherowa, who as a child saw the tragic events of the 1846 peasants’ uprising. Remembering her childhood experience, she later established a school for peasant children in Dolega. The daughter of Maria and Aleksander Gunther, Maria Guntherowna married writer Ignacy Maciejowski, known as ‘Sewer’. The manor then saw many famous visitors at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: the poets and painters Adam Asnyk, Wlodzimierz Tetmajer, Lucjan Rydel, Stanislaw Przybyszewski, and the young Stanislaw Wyspianski.
The estate escaped dismantling after the second world war, and until the 1970s it remained the property of Jadwiga Tumidajska, nee Wolska, who inherited it from her ancestors. In 1973, she presented the manor – intended for a museum – to the Polish State. For the last 20 years the house has been cared for by Irena and Wladyslaw Konieczny on behalf of the Tarnow District Museum.
This single-storey manor was built in larch wood, on a frame structure and the plan of a horseshoe. The main circulation passage, with the porch, dining room, drawing room, and cabinet, was more public, while the wings were private: the eastern wing hid the bedroom, and the western contained the kitchen with the pantry. In the drawing room, furnished in Biedermeier and art nouveau styles, photographs of previous inhabitants and their guests can be seen. The corner study, fitted with a 19th-century a walnut furniture set, contains mementoes of the January Uprising and the Peasants’ Rebellion. Adjoining it is the room of Professor Michal Siedlecki, a famous naturalist and traveller. The last room on display – Jadwiga Tumidajska’s bedroom, with furniture in an art nouveau style – boasts two paintings by Stanislaw Wyspianski, a gift of Jan Bartosinski to the hostess. Preserved in the historical interiors are stone and tiled stoves from the mid- -19th century.

~sigh~ Today has not been a good day. I woke up probably 3 hours before I usually do, and it was all because I heard Pickles, my mum's cat, downstairs making some really strange noises. When I went downstairs to see what was going on, I found him behaving incredibly strangely. He was acting as if he was having a lot of difficulty breathing, panting and even foaming at the mouth a little.

So, I woke my mum up (she's retired), and had her come downstairs to see what was going on. Nothing we did could get him to calm down. On the Internet, I did some searches to see if I could figure out what might be going on, and I thought he was suffering from a severe case of feline asthma, based on the symptoms I was seeing.

I called a vet, and they referred us to the nearest emergency care clinic for pets and I drove him and my mum to the clinic. It didn't take long after he was admitted for them to tell us that it looked like he might've gotten hold of some sort of stimulant. He had a temperature of 106?F! (That's 41,1?C!) My mum smokes, I don't, but nicotine can apparently have a very bad effect on cats. The vet was wondering if Pickles might've accidentally ingested a cigarette. My mum's always been very careful with cigarettes, so that was easily ruled out. Pickles is an indoor cat only, so he could not've gotten anything from outside, so rabies was ruled out. He's also never been one to try to get into any of the kitchen cabinets, and none were open when I found him, so we're certain he didn't get into any of the cleaning supplies. Per the vet, if Pickles had accidentally ingested the thyroid medication I take (if I had inadvertently dropped one), that would not have had this affect on him. He's basically acting like he's on speed and really freaked out, like he's always seeing monsters, or something. Very scared, very skittish, and having difficulty breathing. Because of that, they can't even check his blood pressure, because it's all over the place.

They did blood work, to make sure everything else was okay with him, and those tests came back normal. The vet talked to an animal neurologist, and the only thing they can figure (and this is purely speculative), is that Pickles might have a brain tumor. He's being kept overnight for observation, and to see if they can't get his temperature down. If they can't, then just as happens with people, he could suffer from brain damage just from the high temperature alone.

The only thing they can do beyond observation, is to recommend an MRI (expensive, even for pets—about $1500), and if they see that there is a tumor, then the surgery would be about $3500, and given his age, the prognosis going in isn't at all good. : ( He's 17 years old, so he's an old man for a cat (the average cat only lives to be about 17-19), but it would be so sad to see him go this way.

I've just got home after almost 4 hours at the emergency pet clinic, and after taking my mum to lunch.

The Palace of Versailles is one of the biggest Chateau's in France. Versailles became the informal seat of government at one point in history and housed many kings and queens.

I find that the England/German style of using a castle instead of a very expensive house as living quarters is still the best way for a king. I found the chateau very extravagant and it seems that Versailles is a symbol of opulence more than anything... at least for me and a couple of my tour friends. It's funny how our guide would tell about Kings of the past and mostly tell us of which painting they had done, or which other expensive thing they bought for the chateau. How the french government is rebuying this historic cabinet from a certain person for millions of euros, etc etc to get the original rooms and furniture back... The guide tells me of Marie Antoinette who is loved by the people but for no reason except that she is beautiful (if I understood my "far from the best" guide). How you need hundreds of servants just to light the candles on the chandeliers everyday... No wonder they had so many revolutions against the kings. Opulence and Beauty will not make your people happy...

anyway, as they say, travel around, observe, immerse, and if you don't like it, appreciate still their difference, history and customs :)

This house is on my grandparents' property, but they never lived in it. By the time they moved in in 1975, the house had been empty for twenty years.

I grew up thinking of it as a sort of combined haunted house and garage, because it's where my grandpa parked his mower and kept his tools. And because it seemed a little haunted. In my mind I see it as red, but in the forced objectivity of this picture, it's striking how little red paint is left. It's almost white.

My mom says there used to be a bed and some furniture upstairs, but now the floor up there is rotten. From the stairs I can see just a tiny bit of the room with the window in the upper left. Maybe that room still has furniture and stuff in it. The room the stairs open into, with the window in the upper right, contains only part of an old Christmas tree, wasp nests, and a lot of stuff that used to be the walls,ceiling, and roof.

Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosi and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes, and is elevated 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level.

The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar. The crust serves as a source of salt and covers a pool of brine, which is exceptionally rich in lithium. It contains 50 to 70% of the world's lithium reserves, which is in the process of being extracted. The large area, clear skies and exceptional surface flatness make the Salar an ideal object for calibrating the altimeters of the Earth observation satellites. The Salar serves as the major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and is a major breeding ground for several species of pink flamingos.

Formation, geology and climate
Salar de Uyuni is part of the Altiplano of Bolivia in South America. The Altiplano is a high plateau, which was formed during uplift of the Andes mountains. The plateau includes fresh and saltwater lakes as well as salt flats and is surrounded by mountains with no drainage outlets.

The geological history of the Salar is associated with a sequential transformation between several vast lakes. Some 30,000–42,000 years ago, the area was part of a giant prehistoric lake, Lake Minchin. Its age was estimated from radiocarbon dating of shells from outcropping sediments and carbonate reefs and varies between reported studies. Lake Minchin (named after the Juan B. Minchin of Oruro) later transformed into paleolake Tauca having a maximal depth of 140 meters (460 ft), and an estimated age of 13,000–18,000 or 14,900–26,100 years depending on the source. The youngest prehistoric lake was Coipasa, which was radiocarbon dated to 11,500–13,400 years. When it dried, it left behind two modern lakes, Poopo Lake and Uru Uru Lake, and two major salt deserts, Salar de Coipasa and the larger Salar de Uyuni. Salar de Uyini spreads over 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi), which is roughly 25 times the size of the Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States. Lake Poopo is a neighbor of the much larger lake Titicaca. During the wet season, Titicaca overflows and discharges into Poopo, which, in turn, floods Salar De Coipasa and Salar de Uyuni.

Underneath the surface of the Salar is a lake of brine 2 to 20 meters (7 to 66 ft) deep. The brine is a saturated solution of table salt, lithium chloride and magnesium chloride in water. It is covered with a solid salt crust with a thickness varying between tens of centimeters to a few meters. The center of the Salar contains a few "islands", which are the remains of the tops of ancient volcanoes which were submerged during the era of lake Minchin. They include unusual and fragile coral-like structures and deposits that often consist of fossils and algae.

The area has a relatively stable average temperature with a peak at 21 °C (70 °F) in November-January and a low of 13 °C (55 °F) in June. The nights are however cold all through the year with temperatures between -9 and 5 °C (16 and 41 °F). The relative humidity is rather low and constant throughout the year at 30–45 %. The rainfall is also low at 1–3 millimeters (0.039–0.12 in) per month between April and November, but it may increase up to 70 millimeters (2.8 in) in January. However, except for January, even in the rainy season the number of rainy days is below 5 per month.

Salt production at the Salar
The Salar contains large amounts of sodium, potassium, lithium and magnesium (all in the chloride forms of NaCl, KCl, LiCl and MgCl2, respectively), as well as borax. Of those, lithium is arguably most important as it is a vital component of many electric batteries. With estimated 5,400,000 tonnes (5,310,000 LT; 5,950,000 ST), Bolivia holds about half of the world's lithium reserves; most of those are located in the Salar de Uyuni. Lithium is concentrated in the brine under the salt crust at a relatively high concentration of about 0.3%. It is also present in the top layers of the porous halite body lying under the brine; however the liquid brine is easier to extract, by boring into the crust and pumping out the brine. The brine distribution has been monitored by the Landsat satellite and confirmed in ground drilling tests. Following those findings, an American-based international corporation has invested $137 million to develop lithium extraction. However, lithium extraction in the 1980s and 1990s by foreign companies met strong opposition of the local community.

Lobb Lane Mill is a large derelict mill in the Brierfield area of Lancashire, and is sometimes referred to as Veevers mill. It was built around the middle of the 1800’s originally as a steam powered weaving mill, and remained open until as recent as 2001. In it’s heyday, it was one of the larger more affluent mills in the area for many years, and in its latter years has been occupied by various large industrial manufacturers. Its most recent occupation was by Trojan Plastics who used the mill until 2001 when they relocated and left the mill empty. At the moment the building is marked as being in preparation for renovation into canal side apartments, however the work does not seem to have begun as yet. In fact the place has an eerie, Marie Celeste style feel to it, having many of the original items left in situ from machinery, to signs, to tomato ketchup bottles. The site is deceptively vast in size with large open factory floors scattered with machinery, and many floors of offices and store rooms, many with furniture, machinery, and paperwork standing spookily in place. The building stands on the Leeds Liverpool canal and I believe there may have been a landing stage to the rear at some stage for delivery and collection of goods. One of the strangest features is a large cobbled tunnel leading steeply from the ground floor deep into a basement area. It appears that perhaps this used to house tracks for a tram of some sort, possibly for the transportation of goods from the basement to the ground floor and the canal. An impressive building which can be easily overlooked when passing on the street, but once inside it is almost like stepping into a vast area of frozen time that the outside world has forgotten and is passing by obliviously.

Day 3

After lunch another two hour drive to find a furniture manufacturer that we found on the web. Down a dusty decrepit lane we found a fabulous little factory. Ordered all the new office furniture. After 10 hours on the road we limped back to the hotel...exhausted

This thing is a lot like a Transformer. I think M's mom found it at a garage sale or thrift store for some ridiculous price. It didn't come with its (probably inoperable) sewing machine. I like the trapezoidal form.

I'm guessing that it was made in the 1950's, but I'm just spitballing. I ought to check for any maker's mark. I did notice a serial number on it.

My parents used to collect antiques from auctions — mostly well-made furniture in Mission and Art-Deco styles from the 30's or thereabouts. I loved finding little signatures on them, and inspecting all the weird little hardware and secret compartments. Old furniture is just very different from modern stuff.

These fine pieces of furniture were designed by me and handcrafted by my father. The bed fits together with wooden pegs rather than metal bed hardware, and the nightstands have a hidden drawer for storage. The armoire is extremely heavy and is equipped with 4 storage drawers, 2 cubbies and a rod for storing clothes inside. I stained all of the pieces pictured with Minwax brand "Special Walnut" furniture stain and finished off with a clear matte varnish. Pieces are one-of-a-kind and invaluable to me :)

New patio set

We finally broke down and bought a new patio set from Home Depot this
week. A coworker helped me put it together today since Jay is on a
crazy work schedule. We kept hoping we would find a good deal on a
used one... Someone moving off island. But just couldn't find one.
Apparently they go pretty quick when someone is selling one and it
usually goes to someone they know. So while we were shopping for a new
fridge last week we realized Home Depot had all their patio furniture
and other "summer" items marked down to make way for Christmas and
other "winter" items. It cracks me up because it's summer here all
year but since they have to do the same thing as mainland stores, then
they mark the items down. Worked out well for us. We had to borrow a
friends truck to go pick it up because the box was huge and wasn't
even close to fitting in our car. Home Depot wanted $80 for delivery,
so thankfully we have great friends that had no problem loaning us
their truck. This has been one of the things I've wanted since moving
in this apartment because the view is so awesome and the breeze is
wonderful. I can't wait to start eating all our meals out here!!

my new set..... I was going to hold out for another year and get a set from Nags Head Hammocks that Rob and I saw on our vacation a month or so ago....but, this was a GREAT deal. Got the 9 piece set for $299.00 !!! Had been a $600 set. It should last me a few years :)

(NOTE: Right now there is a tailgaiting canopy up on the deck of Rob's that was there to keep the sun off temporarily. Now we'll take that down next weekend and let the umbrella do the work.... Can't wait to have my first meal out there. The deck needs some powerwashing and clear waterproofing stain..but otherwise, I'm loving having a deck !

The Victorians had a great love of art and Victorian Glaswegians even more so.

When Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum opened in 1901 it was a superlative institution - the last and greatest achievement of the civic museum movement in Britain.

Reflecting the pride, wealth and cultural ambition of one of the Victorian era’s great industrial and trading cities, the new museum aimed to encompass the entire world of art, history, archaeology and natural history.

By the time it closed for restoration just over 100 years later, it was one of the most visited museums in Britain attracting more than one million visitors per year. These included 300,000 tourists, 420,000 Scots day-trippers and 300,000 Glaswegians.

Throughout its 102 years it had also added to the marvellous objects the city owned in 1901 to produce one of the greatest civic collections in Europe. When it closed 4,000 objects were on display from the most important areas of the collection including:

Italian and Dutch Old Master paintings
French Impressionist and post-Impressionist paintings
Late 19th and early 20th century Scottish art, including the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the ‘Glasgow Style’ school of artists
Ancient Egypt – unusually well documented objects collected from professional excavations to which the museum subscribed in the 1890s
Aspects of the history of Scotland – and of Glasgow’s impact on the world
West of Scotland Archaeology – including Bronze Age burials and life on the River Clyde in the Stone Age
Natural history of Scotland and the world, from prehistoric fossils to birds in local gardens, and from kangaroos to elephants
Art and artefacts from dozens of cultures all over the world to which Glasgow traders, missionaries, soldiers and engineers had travelled
Arms and armour, second only to the Royal Armouries in quality and range

When Kelvingrove reopens in July 2006, after a three-year, ?28 million restoration, all this will have been redisplayed to spectacular effect to provide a museum for the 21st century in a stunning Victorian setting.

In approaching Kelvingrove’s refurbishment, museum staff set themselves the challenge of doubling the number of objects on display to 8,000. So inspiration was sought all over the world to find new ways of displaying and interpreting familiar favourites and innovative techniques in architecture and design to maximise the exhibition space.

Combining curatorial knowledge, educational expertise and public interests, staff selected the most interesting objects and groups of objects and have told their stories in self-contained displays.

The vast museum used to be difficult for visitors to navigate, but this new approach provides a map to greater understanding.

Study Centre

Most museums provide only one type of experience, or at most two – children’s and adult galleries. However, the display philosophy of the new museum is based on an understanding that people learn in lots of different ways and want to experience objects in different atmospheres and moods.

Visitors can choose between highly interactive galleries, which encourage handling and discussion, and a quiet, reflective study centre which provides more than 1,500 objects for anyone who wants to delve deeper into the concepts and ideas presented in the main galleries.

The museum’s great art collection, with masterpieces by Rembrandt and Van Gogh, Monet and Botticelli, Turner and Whistler, will be presented in classic galleries – but far more accessible than ever before. For example, visitors will be able to experience what a painting would have looked like in the flickering candlelight of a Renaissance chapel, with period music adding to the atmosphere!

The Mackintosh and the Glasgow Style gallery will also be a highlight, displaying the city’s important collection of furniture, designs and interiors by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and works by his ‘Glasgow Style’ contemporaries in one, comprehensive spectacle.

As well as exploring the human capacity for creativity, Kelvingrove also recognizes a capacity for destruction. The sword is presented as both a work of art and an instrume

Sanitary Drinking Fountain

Found this lovely illustration in a book I bought at an estate sale. Namely, "School Sanitation and Decoration: A Practical Study of Health and Beauty in their Relations to the Public Schools" by Severance Burrage, S.B. and Henry Turner Bailey. It was published in 1899, and is a very charming and interesting book. Very stuffy and Victorian in some places, it's very idealistic and romantic in other places, trumpeting the virtues of exposing children to art from a very young age, and how beautiful surroundings in the classroom will equal a beautifully raised child. It's very specific about what kind of art is suitable for which ages of children, and is very detailed in explaining their theories. It's also quite "modern" concerning furnishings and bathrooms, etc. for schools, noting that things should be designed for the child's comfort and safety. I really like it, $1.00 well spent!

Buster six weeks on

For those who had followed the tale of the 5 week old kitten we rescued from under a plam tree by the side of the road... the story continues. He (Buster) is doing really well. He cleared all vets tests for the major illnesses and is getting bigger and furrier daily. My parents now have many years ahead of trying to protect their furniture and clothes, legs, arms, hands, etc. from cat scratches - they love him to bits though!

Oliver Draped on Chair Arm

Oliver draped himself over the arm of his favorite chair this evening, with his legs and head hanging down. He appeared to be very comfortable, fully relaxed, and it didn't look very comfortable from the human perspective. I grabbed my point-and-shoot before he jumped down and took a couple of shots. Note the tape on the chair to protect it from his claws.
