Squashmobile Design 3

Squashmobile Design 3

This is my new design. This baby is going to dominate.

The new frame is made from 9-ply finished plywood scraps in a "tub" design. It also uses inline skate wheels (from a really nice set of Bauer hockey skates from the thrift store).

The wheels are mounted on threaded rod that goes all the way through both sides mounted with locknuts. Due to the pains we took to make the axles straight and square, this baby runs extremely true.

It's also by far the strongest design, I can easily stand on it and roll across the floor.

This is definitely going to be the model design for any future vehicles we make. The competition doesn't stand a chance ;)

128:365 win or go home

Game 5 of the Western Conference finals: Detroit at San Jose. Although I have lived in the beautiful sunny south for years, I can't get away from the heritage of my eastern D-town 'burb birthplace. Red Wings love runs deep in my family (case in point, don't get my daddy started or else you'll spend the next hour listening to the glory years of Howe, Lindsay and Delvecchio), and my dad and I are decked out in our finest red and white tonight. I'm spending my evening watching the game wtih my parents, hubby (bless his heart, he's a Blues fan) and sons. Here's to hoping my beloved Wings pull out a win tonight to force a game 6!

Them's Fightin' Words!!!

Steph and I were playing around with Photoshop two days ago and I took a few images in the living room. I decided to start stacking layers and make some interesting photos. I have this image of myself fighting my inner hockey demons. Please keep in mind that the real me is the Detroit fan. I don't need there to be any confusion about what one needs to be arrested and thrown in Jail. Also Steph, I have sent you tea time. I expect it to be posted :)

My daughter absolutely loves green peppers, so a couple of months ago I planted three pepper plants in our backyard. This is the first we have harvested, and as you can see, she was quite excited.
