WHAT IS AMBER TEETHING NECKLACE?

A Baltic amber teething necklace is made for wearing (not chewing) when a baby is teething.

The warmth from the skin releases the active ingredient in the Baltic amber, succinic acid. Recent scientific research has proved that succinic acid has a very positive influence on the human body It improves immunity and the balance of acids when absorbed into the bloodstream; it stimulates the thyroid glands to help reduce drooling and soothes red inflamed cheeks Amber's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties are recognized by allopathic medicine as a natural analgesic, which will help to relieve teething pain and calm a baby without resorting to drugs.
The skin's warmth releases healing oils from the amber, a resin, which is absorbed into the bloodstream.

I made this turquoise and amber teething necklace for my baby.

Beaded by hand from fresh stones of summer 2011 excavation, personally delivered by plane directly from the very shores of the Baltic Sea (Kaliningrad, Russia). From Baltic Sea to your final delivery our Amber exchanges very few good hands as to preserve the natural healing energy stored in each Sun Stone. We take all precautions as not to loose precious healing energy and not to contaminate our stones with negative energy. All stones are store in climate controled environment, protected by other crystals. Our stones are as pure and good as it can get.

Our Amber is not a resin, never been treated artificially to look pretty and sparkly and sun-kissed. There's a very high scammy quotient among products being specifically sold as "healing" amber. Basically, if you decide to buy a cheap one just to see if it works at all, you're probably still getting ripped off with stones that don't really contain much of the magic succinic acid (natural analgesic) in the first place. Huge amount of so called "amber" currently sold on amazon and ebay is simply molded from Fenolic Resins, Celluloid, Glass, Copal, or Modern plastic.

Treated Amber (sparkly, shiny, round, polished) may look pretty as a common jewelry, but it most definitely has lost some of its healing powers and on top of it is likely to be fake.

How to identify true Amber:

01. Heat test: Amber heated will produce a whitish smoke and smell like burning pine wood, sweet and pleasant. Stick a heated needle into amber, if you smell definite pine-tree resins it means it is real amber.
02. Buoyancy test: Amber will float in seawater. This is why it washes up on the beaches of the Baltic after a storm. Salt-saturated water (2.5 tablespoons per 1 cup water) will show that imitations of amber will sink in salt water.
03. Static test: Amber is warm to the touch and when rubbed, it will become electrostatically charged and will attract lint particles.
