SYM-1 Harddrive interface
In the bottom-left is the 'brute-force' solution to connecting an IDE PATA harddrive to a 8-bit 6502 computer, using the SYM1's 6522 dual 8-bit I/O ports to 'manually' twiddle the signal lines. A rough benchmark was reading sectors at 14.5kB/sec-- massively fast by 8-bit micro standards!
