Marine Room, The Buena Vista, Biloxi
The Marine Room at the now demolished Buena Vista Hotel in Biloxi 1926-1993
Having served a long and interesting life, the Buena Vista was demolished after a catastrophic fire in late 1993. Its motor inn wing, the Buena Vista Beach Club, survived just a few more years before being demolished in turn for the Beau Rivage.

This hotel was located at Iwakuni, several hundred miles south of Atsugi. It is was a U.S. Marine Corp Air Station. On occasions, I hitched a flight down to shoot photos and paint. This is where the noted bridge with many arches is located. It is, or was, a serene area perfect for painting and getting away for awhile.
