Brescia (Lombardia) – L’orologio astronomico della torre di piazza della Loggia Sul lato est di piazza della Loggia, simbolo della citta di Brescia, e situata la torre dell'orologio eretta intorno al 1540 su progetto di Lodovico Beretta, architetto locale. All’interno e collocato un complesso congegno meccanico, inserito circa tra il 1544 e il 1546, costruito per segnare le ore, le fasi lunari e i segni zodiacali su due diversi quadranti. Il quadrante principale dell'orologio e rivolto verso la piazza della Loggia ed e stato pitturato da Gian Giacomo Lamberti mentre il secondo lato, che insiste su via Beccaria, e caratterizzato dal quadrante dorato di paternita non ancora precisata. Ai lati dell’orologio sono presenti quattro figure di angioletti in rame dorato che rappresentano i venti che provengono dai diversi angoli del mondo. Sotto la torre dell'orologio e posta la lapide per ricordare le vittime della strage terroristica avvenuta il 28 maggio 1974 durante lo svolgimento di una manifestazione antifascista che provoco la morte di otto persone e il ferimento di altre novantaquattro.
