The 2009 Import and Export Market for Prepared Cut Flowers and Flower Buds Suitable for Bouquets or Ornamental Use in Ecuador

On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use in Ecuador face a number of questions. Which countries are supplying prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use to Ecuador? How important is Ecuador compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use vary from one country of origin to another in Ecuador? On the supply side, Ecuador also exports prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use. Which countries receive the most exports from Ecuador? How are these exports concentrated across buyers? What is the value of these exports and which countries are the largest buyers?

This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use in Ecuador. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics which appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for prepared cut flowers and flower buds suitable for bouquets or ornamental use for those countries serving Ecuador via exports, or supplying from Ecuador via imports. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models.

Edible Flowers for sale?

Edible Flowers for sale?

It was found in the Manchester railway station. It is OK for local people who know what M&S is and what their brands are doing BUT Manchester is supposed to be an International location where you expect people arriving from all over the world. I thought they are selling flowers for salads (eating flowers is possible if you have not known), so I went to see whether they have started this as their business finally. Of course they were just selling cut flowers and this sign was nothing to do with food. It is SOOOO confusing.

Cut flowers

Cut flowers

I actually have a small cut flower business too. I deliver fresh cut flowers to the Atlanta market every Monday for about 5 weeks during the bloom season. Lenten Roses make great cut flowers after they are pollenated and drop their sepals. Before that, they are too delicate and will not last very long in water.

This report was created for strategic planners, international executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for cut flowers and foliage. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics that appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for cut flowers and foliage for those countries serving the world market via exports or supplying from various countries via imports. I do so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models.

On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners approaching the world market face a number of questions. Which countries are supplying cut flowers and foliage?
