Installing A Baseboard Heater
- As a type of heating equipment, a system in which either electric resistance coils or finned tubes carrying steam or hot water are mounted behind shallow panels along baseboards. Baseboards rely on passive convection to distribute heated air in the space.
- (install) put into an office or a position; "the new president was installed immediately after the election"
- Place or fix (equipment or machinery) in position ready for use
- Place (someone) in a new position of authority, esp. with ceremony
- (install) set up for use; "install the washer and dryer"; "We put in a new sink"
- Establish (someone) in a new place, condition, or role
- installation: the act of installing something (as equipment); "the telephone installation took only a few minutes"
Lots of light
This is my mom and Anna a couple Christmases ago. In the background, on the bottom right, you can see the supplemental kerosene heater they use when it's really chilly. They also have baseboard electric heat that they never, ever use... the town made them install it because just a wood stove is too weird or something. You can also see that even in the winter, the inside gets a lot of light (and warmth) from the sun.
