In SMS construction, cloth-like, abrasion resistant spunbond polypropylene forms the outer layers. The inner layer is formed from a web of microfibers that filter out many water-based liquids. I like this view because the whale spy hopped in the shadow of the boat so there was minimal glare. That is why you can see down into the water so well. The fact that the channel was as flat as a mirror also helped. I would love to get a good shot of a humpback eye.
