Water Filter Faucet Adapter

the haircut part 3 - flowbee time!
In an effort not to burn out the motor of the trimmer or clog up the blade beyond repair (in which case we'd really be screwed), we dug out the old Flowbee (which I use to shave Chester's fur sometimes--no dirty jokes, please), and decided to get rid of the bulk that way.
The Flowbee requires a vacuum cleaner. Our old vacuum just didn't have enough juice because the filter was totally clogged with dust and fur from the last time we used it. There was no time to give the filter a thorough cleaning under the water faucet since it needs to be completely dry before using.
So, we brought out our brand new Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner that Lisa and John bought us for our wedding. It's pretty darn powerful and I had full faith that we'd be back in action soon. Wrong! The Flowbee hose adapter did not fit the hose on the Dirt Devil. They were the same size! No male part to put into the female part. Gaaaah! Now what?!
Brian ended up just holding the Flowbee hose against the vacuum hose. Not perfect, but better than nothing. The suction wasn't very good and I couldn't get a good even trim. Ah well, at least we got most of the bulk off....

It's a dangerous moment. The more I see pictures from the Prominent, the less I want to part with it.
The only thing I can think about doing, as a means of a compromise, is to purchase a Pominent mount -> Leica M mount adapter, then use the Nokton on an M9.
Wait. That'll cost more than getting a CFV for my Hasselblad, which is the reason why I've decided to sell off a chunk of my gear.
Hrmmmmm. Something tells me that compromise won't work.
On a completely unrelated note, our city's been in a "Boil-Water" order status since yesterday, for the forseeable future. We went to the supermarket today and the bottled water section was cleared out :lol:
Like, don't people know how to boil water??
What's inconvenient is not drinking water (we filter with Brita then boil then cool before drinking) but rather kitchen & bathroom stuff.
Like it's sooooo easy to forget to rinse my toothbrush with sanitized water instead of faucet water :-D
