The 2011 Import and Export Market for Typesetting and Typefounding Machinery and Equipment for Making Printing Blocks, Plates, Cylinders, or Other Printing Components in Israel

The 2011 Import and Export Market for Typesetting and Typefounding Machinery and Equipment for Making Printing Blocks, Plates, Cylinders, or Other Printing Components in Israel

On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components in Israel face a number of questions. Which countries are supplying typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components to Israel? How important is Israel compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components vary from one country of origin to another in Israel? On the supply side, Israel also exports typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components. Which countries receive the most exports from Israel? How are these exports concentrated across buyers? What is the value of these exports and which countries are the largest buyers?

This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components in Israel. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics which appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components for those countries serving Israel via exports, or supplying from Israel via imports. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models.

In what follows, Chapter 2 begins by summarizing where Israel fits into the world market for imported and exported typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components. The total level of imports and exports on a worldwide basis, and those for Israel in particular, is estimated using a model which aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on both demand- and supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market destination. These shares lead to a volume of import and export values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each market and the share that Israel is likely to receive this year. From these figures, rankings are calculated to allow managers to prioritize Israel compared to other major country markets. In this way, all the figures provided in this report are forecasts that can be combined with internal information sources for strategic planning purposes.

Advertisement for J & W Stuart

Advertisement for J & W Stuart

In the nineteenth century the firm of J & W Stuart at Musselburgh kept themselves in the forefront of net-making by continually improving their technology and materials. They operated warehouses at Lowestoft and Yarmouth; this advertisement was published when the latter opened in 1882.

An advertisement printed in sepia and gold on pale purple card showing a perspective view of an industrial complex, a mixture of long, low sheds with a high office block, boiler house and other ancillary buildings. The image is surrounded by gold medals.

The firm of J & W Stuart was founded in 1859 and from the first produced a variety of fishing nets on automated, mechanical weaving machines. The nets were finished by hand, when guide ropes, floats and other accessory equipment was added, and were supplied either before or after a preservative treatment had been applied.

The 2009 World Market Forecasts for Imported Typesetting and Typefounding Machinery and Equipment for Making Printing Blocks, Plates, Cylinders, or Other Printing Components

This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and export managers whose primary concern is the world market for typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics that appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components for those firms serving the world via exports and foreign direct investment. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models.

In what follows, this report begins by summarizing the world exporter's market for typesetting and typefounding machinery and equipment for making printing blocks, plates, cylinders, or other printing components. The total level of exports on a worldwide basis is based on a model that aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market. These shares lead to a volume of import values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each market and the shares that competitors (countries serving that market) are likely to receive this year. From these figures, world rankings are calculated to allow managers to prioritize markets. In this way, all the figures provided in this report are forecasts that can be combined with internal information for strategic planning purposes.
