Dining Table Lamp
- (Dining Tables) The first dining tables of which survivors remain are the type known as refectory tables. They are made usually of oak, and one of the earliest, at Penshurst Place in Kent, has a typical thick top of joined planks supported on three separate trestles.

Through the viewfinder. This is in the front room and the other half of the sitting area. This used to be one big living room, but I like cozy spaces, so we moved the dining table in here and turned the dining room into a den.
The table is more useful this way because we rarely eat at it and the white built- in cabinets, (on the bottom) contain my most valuable photos and snapshots and I am able to pull them out and view them on the table. I also store them there because this is the safest place in the house in case of a flood.
Dining Hall, Christ Church College, Oxford
The dining hall at Christ Church College, Oxford was the inspiration for the Hogwarts dining hall in the Harry Potter movies. Several scenes from the first two movies were filmed at Christ Church college. Many historic portraits line the walls of the dining hall, with eyes that follow you as you stroll through.
