Expedition organizer „Annapurna II 2008“
The Croatian Climbing Society (HPD, later HPS) was founded in 1874 in Zagreb, initiated in the city of Ogulin,
which puts the Croats among the first seven nations in the world with their own national climbing organization.
The Croatian Mountaineering Association is a member of Croatian Olympic Committee and UIAA – Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme,
(English: International Climbing and Mountaineering Organisation). CMAs Secretary General, Darko Berljak is Expedition logistic manager of this expedition.
ANNAPURNA II – Our expedition goals:
Expedition goals are climbing A2 (7937m) via the West Ridge, approached from the north. Climbing Annapurna IV (7525m) is our second goal, with attempt for first ski descent from the summit of A4.
Some of our team members are also members of Croatian Mountain Rescue Service , mostly from its Ogulin branch.
