I'm not quite sure about it's name, but I think, that it is billbergia nutans.
It's very easy in growing and blooming every year.

Billbergia nutans (Queen's-Tears) is an epiphytic bromeliad native from Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. This plant is often used as an ornamental plant, and it is probably one of the most common Bromeliads grown. It is a durable house plant because this bromeliad can often withstand several periods of neglect.

This was one of my first shots Ive shot with my new Canon EOS 5D. I used my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens, even though it is designed for APS-C cameras, like my 40D, I thought I would try it out. A lot of the other shots didn't really turn out, but this one kind of works. I definitely like the look of it, and the colors from the 5D are pretty amazing. SO happy that I finally went Full Frame.
