ALUMINUM COOKING DANGER

This work is a large scale sculptural work featuring an abstract depiction reference „growling grass frog?, eggs.

This is one of two works that were commissioned by the Walker Corporation, in partnership with VicUrban, for the new Point Cook Town Centre development.

The artwork depicts a mass of growling grass frog eggs bound together in a clear mass, much as they would exist in their natural state. The work will measure 3249 mm (height), 5400mm (length) and 3334mm (wide) and will feature 40 stainless steel spheres, all of which will be sandblasted to ensure reflectivity is minimized. The eggs will be installed in such a way as to give the impression of floating in water, that is the top of the work will be an even line with the "eggs" grouped in a descending mass as they are naturally suspended. Four (4) spheres will be embedded in the ground underneath the work, representing the natural process of the frogs eggs maturing whereby they start to drop from the mass and settle in the mud at the bottom of the swamp. The artists have intended that their artwork will metaphorically represent the ties that bind a family and community together.
Council has received copies of the engineering documentation for the artwork and is confident that the artwork is structurally sound.
It is proposed that this work be installed at the rear of the Point Cook Library and Council?s traffic engineers have been consulted regarding the placement of the work and the appropriate off sets from the kerb. Maintenance of the work will not be onerous, with routine cleaning of the work to be incorporated into Council?s routine public art maintenance program.

This artwork is a donation to Wyndham City Council from the Walker Corporation, and the only financial implications are the potential costs involved in maintaining the artwork. The proposed structures are robust and will withstand the rigours of being sited in a public open space and ongoing maintenance costs are likely to be minimal. Walker Corporation advised that the total budget for the fabrication and installation of the work by Maree Clarke & Vicki Couzens is approximately $120,000. The works are therefore a valuable addition to the Council public art collection.

Wyndham Council agreed in principle to accept the artwork at, their meeting on 13 Sep 2010.

This is one of my utmost cravings. Other than the noodles and sambal oelek, the other ingredients are all western :P
The veggies now look like the yunnan picked veggies but they are not.
I'm really happy with the looks and the taste :) I used chopped Kale (boerenkool) cooked with some chopped bacon, some vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, gherkins, and pickled chillies all of which can be found in supermarket here in Amsterdam. Yes even soy sauce :P And the best part is that I don't use MSG :D

*edit* i have taken this photo off MSH because my other noodles look much redder, hotter and spicier ;)
