I'm crap at naming plants and flowers but a thistle is the closest description that I can muster right now! I took a new turning off the cycle path and soon found myself surrounded by various shrubs, bushes, flowers and plant life. I've never used the macro function on my camera in the outdoors before, so I am quite chuffed at how this particular photograph turned out.
