050/365 Magic Spell
After a long day at work I decided to walk around in Melbourne city.
I wandered along Little Bourke street, from Parliament to Southern Cross station.
Not far after I walked passed Elizabeth street, I smelled nice incense outside a building.
There was a door half open, I walked in.
There was a stairway, I stepped up.
Beautiful gold magical signs on blue wall.
Few floors up there is this magic shop.
I was totally fascinated by all mysterious magic products that I never ever seen elsewhere before.
Countless bottles of herbs and powders with different names of plant of things that I never heard of. Plus all the other products that looks like been used for religious ceremony like crystal skull, statue etc. The name Witch’s House can give you an idea how this shop looks like but the shop amazed me more than that.
A warm welcome from a beautiful woman, she showed me around.
I asked her if she can pose for me to take a photo, she agreed.
I said to her don’t need to force smiling then she said she will just be natural.
I got this photo.
There is a wheel that people can turn it to spin, it stopped at a number and you could get a spell.
Witch speaks to people via this spell, about your life experienced, about your unique personality, about the things that a individual pursuit.
I had a long thought before I turn that wheel.
I got a spell.
What written on the spell is exactly what I thought before I turn the wheel.
Entrance to an Art Deco Block of Flats - East Melbourne
In East Melbourne, just off busy Wellington Parade in the little cul-de-sac of Garden Avenue is a blissfully quiet piece of "between the wars" Melbourne.
The entire avenue is made up of wonderful Functionaist Moderne blocks of flats. This red brick complex is one of the more remarkable blocks with its a wonderfully moderne entranceway. Beautiful porthole windows screen the entrance slightly, and the front doors are graced with wonderful wrought iron grillework. A pretty porch light in true Art Deco style hangs above the porch. Unlike many Art Deco buildings which focussed on a vertical emphasis, Functionalist Moderne buildings often featured horizontal emphasis, which is why it has horizontal white painted concrete stripes between the blocks of windows and a horizontal band of feature bricks above the ground floor flat windows. Even the lamp in the garden is in a wonderful Art Deco style!
