This year has been more about marketing and seminars and education.
Networking, meeting and more seminars.
Working on all of that I made it out to the day workshop with Ryan Brenizer. Although I have helped him the past - I don't take those opportunities as reasons to bother him with questions or thoughts about the process he follows for his weddings. So I took this opportunity to network and meet people that are also following Mr. Brenizer and it was a great day in the NYC, regardless of the fact that I missed my train and drove all the way in - or had to pay for the most expensive parking ever... EVER. You would have thought they detailed my car and provide a full tank of gas afterward...
But lets move on...
I had the opportunity to see some of the editing, hear his philosophy of photography and most importantly get to see a little bit of how a magician performs his tricks.
He arranged for some of the models to stick around and be photographed and they really worked the room of photographers nicely.
The image above was taken towards the end and was lit with lights from the makeup table back left of her and natural light coming in from the open windows in front of her. the add of fill light was brought in with the Torch Light LED video light with a tungsten cover.
Project 366 - Day 148
Today I invested in Pretty.
You may or may not have noticed from this whole 366 thing that I don't wear make-up. It's just something I never really got into. I don't do many things that are considered "girly", but John likes it when I do, so I decided that to celebrate our 2 year anniversary I was going to learn to put on make-up. Today I had an appointment at the Clinique counter (they seem to mean "clean, natural look" to me), and this is how I ended up.
I bought it all. Which means I spent a lot of money, but it should last me for QUITE some time. It won't be a daily thing for me, but I'd like to do it more often.
