Mobilgas pump.
Mobilgas pump. As I drove down this street, I glanced over and saw this standing there in this guys back yard, and I thought - 'Too cool!' Had to stop in the middle of the street and take a photo of it, too bad the shadow eclipsed half of it. If I make it out back there again, hopefully on a sunny'er day, I'll take another (better!) photo to replace this one with.

AIR PRESSURE PUMP. AIR PRESSURE
AIR PRESSURE PUMP. STOKES VACUUM PUMP OIL.
Air Pressure Pump
- The total gas pressure (static plus velocity).
- atmospheric pressure: the pressure exerted by the atmosphere
- The air around us constantly exerts a pressure of about 400 inches of water. That means that every exposed surface has the equivalent of 400 inches of water pushing on the surface. A vacuum cleaner doesn't actually create a vacuum, but it does lower air pressure inside the vacuum unit.
- A man's slip-on patent leather shoe for formal wear
- operate like a pump; move up and down, like a handle or a pedal; "pump the gas pedal"
- deliver forth; "pump bullets into the dummy"
- A light shoe, in particular
- A woman's plain, lightweight shoe that has a low-cut upper, no fastening, and typically a medium heel
- a mechanical device that moves fluid or gas by pressure or suction
Riviting!
Nice display of various styles of riviting on a air "reciever" . These were mounted on the pressure side of reciprocating water pumps to even out the flow. An airlock was allowed to form in the top of the tank and its elastic properties acted as a spring as the impulses from the pump alternately raised and lowered the water level.

Clayfighter 64
(I don't care what anyone says: this game needs to be with the other great fighting games likes Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, Marvel vs Capcom, and Super Smash Bros. Despite its graphical limitations, unbalanced character development, and downright awful controls this game is fun) Clayfighter 63 1/3 will remain a prominent title in the N64 library for years to come. Indeed, it is destined to be looked back upon again and again, each time a new fighter comes out for the 64-bit console. You see, Clayfighter is so terrible it sets the standards for bad. It takes bad to a whole new level, in fact, and then to a level after that. Clayfighter 63 1/3 actually started out as an M2 project. For those of you who don't remember, M2 was Matsushita's short-lived dream-machine that never materialized. Probably realizing that M2 was a no-go in advance, Interplay scrapped the project and instead began developing the game for Nintendo 64. Aren't we lucky?
Clayfighter 63 1/3 comes packaged with nine ready to play characters plus three hidden that are accessible after beating the game on its various degrees of difficulty. The fighters in the game are made of 2D sprite based claymation and, despite pretty good over-all design, the animation is almost non-existent. One would think developers would have learned from the mistakes of Midway's Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but evidently Interplay never picked up a copy of the game. Clayfighter 63 1/3 actually makes MK Trilogy look like a fully animated Disney feature cartoon in comparison.
Bad Mr. Frosty, a Clayfighter favorite, returns for the N64 version, equipped with snow-rolls and raspy voice. In addition, there is also Blob (a green pile of slime), Bonker (a nightmare clown), T-Hoppy (a steroid pumped rabbit), Kung-Pow (a stereotypical Kung-Fu fighter), Taffy (Gumbi with attitude), Icky Bod Clay (a pumpkin-head monstrosity), Houngan (a voodoo...thing) and, of course, Earthworm Jim, everybody's favorite worm. The three hidden characters include a disgustingly fat Santa Claus, a mad scientist and Hobo Cop. The 3D environments in Clayfighter are glitchy, but still one of the more impressive aspects of the game . Often while battling, though, (and we use this term loosely) 3D objects in the foreground obstruct the view of the fight. Even worse, in same cases the obstruction continues for the entire round, making it nearly impossible to play the game intelligently -- and so the button mashing begins. The sad part is players can still win 99% of the time. Bugs aside, we found ourselves wondering if two teams -- one working on animation and another developing the 3D backdrops -- had somehow managed to throw the finish product together. Unfortunately, the game doesn't play particularly great, either, which might have been its only saving grace. Because of the choppy animation, fighters will sometimes react to moves that have been performed seconds before, catching up. "Hey, am I still controlling this sucker?", we cried out in frustration, but damn it, Kung Pow continued to perform his wacky moves. The stereotypical China-man was possessed, and hard as we tried, we just couldn't regain control. Then the animation caught up and once again, the analog stick became useful. And so, one 25-hit combo and three frames of animation later, we began to weep.
Combos are disguised as regular moves. A bright-blue light illuminates the character gearing up for a combo and warns challengers of the attempt at the same time. Nailing an enemy with a 15-hit combo never fails to satisfy.
Some of the moves are ridiculously funny, too. One of the characters hurls a chicken at his opponents, yelling: "Cluck you!" Another, Taffy, es in a squeaky voice: "Sugar role!" as he bursts at enemies. Another yet, Sumo Santa, screams "Taste this!" as he throws his flabby belly at rivals. The game doesn't try to be serious and it's rather refreshing in that sense. The best part of Clayfighter 63 1/3, though? The sound effects. Silly as it they may be (offensive and immature, for that matter), they still manage to draw a smile or even a chuckle from most everyone who has had a go with the game. Kung Pow in particular, who offers players a wide variety of stereotypical babble like: "Poo-Poo-Platter!", as he dances underneath an opponent or, "You need-a-more training" after besting one in a match. Certainly, blind people will love this title.
Clayfighter 63 1/3 tries to spoof on the fighting genre and might have succeeded had it lived up to its potential. Gameplay is managable, character design is above average and the theme of the game is comical. Fans of the series may get a kick out of it, but certainly won't be blown out of their seats. Unfortunately, when it comes down to it Clayfighter doesn't excel in any category, and in fact actually manages to be exceedingly bad in more than a few. Animation is poor at best, play control isn't up to p

Matt beats Luke 21-17!
IS THIS THE WEEK THE THE WORM TURNED (nearly) ??
Unbeaten in around 60 matches! Matt finally came unstuck against fucking Pebbles of all people. what a c*nt.
Son of a bitch was crap all night n then gets pumped up n pulls an A game out of his stupid ass. Crowd goes fucking mental as well. lol assholes. wheres Alex when you need him.
Anyway the crowd sense this victory is more than the sum of its parts, Matt is wounded and the Vulturous crowd have been starved of top choice meat for a long time. Matt battles hard and wins for a second time against Luke Craig and Soutter, but P has a bigger appetite than those three and soon has the onlookers whooping and cheering for a second time!
Things look dodgy for Matt and when he draws P in the semi everyone is pumped for a Prewer victory.
ITS A TIGHT GAME
Though Justice prevails and just two points from the end Matt steals it but with a seriously nervy performance.
Semi final two, and Luke is smashing his way through soutter! Lukes power forehand shots seem to be the perfect match for Soutters defensive looping spin game! Their not all on target though but once a lead is built up theres no looking back for this newcomer on the TT street scene, he's in his first finale!
Newcomers often play the finals with a good level of confidence. they don't really appreciate or understand the amount of blood n ballbag sweat that has been perspired over the years getting to a final, and maybe, just maybe, winning it.
Anyway Lukes in with a shot and Matt looks half the man this time round. 2 shots in is normally all you get before the crowd decides if your chump or champ.
Matt takes the first point..
But Luke the second!
This pleases the crowd and the electrons in the room are charged! 20 more points in to the game and Lukes got a small lead! The 'fans' are feverish by this point and its all going Luke's way, Matts got ground to make up but his car is low on gas and he's got no signal on the sat nav!
But then, theres a short break as Pebbles n P scurry for a lost ball...
And as though the gods smile on him again this mini break seems to be just what Matt needed. Lukes seems to have lost some of his rhythm, Matt still can't hit a winner but a series of errors from the challenger mean Matts back in it and growing with confidence! A few shots later and it's the lead Mat claims and the atmosphere shifts from one of excitement and hope, to one of disappointment and inevitability! Ha har! that son of a bastard Matt is gonna escape by the skin of his teeth and claim another fucking title!
TOO DAMN RIGHT HE IS! MUTHA BITCHES!
8 IN A ROW! FUCKIN A!
And an 8th in a row losers spot for Craig which is just getting ridiculous.
BADDA BADDA BING! x

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP EXPERIMENT : BOSCH VANE PUMP : JANDY POOL PUMP PARTS.
Centrifugal Pump Experiment
- A pump that uses an impeller to move water or other fluids
- a pump that use centrifugal force to discharge fluid into a pipe
- (CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS) Centrifugal pumps are able to provide uni-ventricular or bi-ventricular support to the ventricles. Blood is removed from the left or right atrium and returned to the aorta or pulmonary artery, respectively, therefore surgery is required to place the device.
- A centrifugal pump is a rotodynamic pump that uses a rotating impeller to increase the pressure of a fluid. Centrifugal pumps are commonly used to move liquids through a piping system.
- Try out new concepts or ways of doing things
- to conduct a test or investigation; "We are experimenting with the new drug in order to fight this disease"
- the act of conducting a controlled test or investigation
- Perform a scientific procedure, esp. in a laboratory, to determine something
- the testing of an idea; "it was an experiment in living"; "not all experimentation is done in laboratories"
Experiments
This was taken just before Ella blew up a test tube of blue stuff all over my white kitchen. I can laugh about it now! She and her friends were carrying out experiments in the lab (aka the cellar). Last week she exploded a conker (chestnut) in the microwave. Oh joys!
Experiment Setup
I have received several requests for a setup shot for my lighting experiment series, so here it is. For all the shots, the light source was a single White Lightning X1600, the only changes made for the different shots was the modifier.

ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP SMALL ENGINE : ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
Electric Fuel Pump Small Engine : Hand Pump Spray : Sump Pump Diagram.
Electric Fuel Pump Small Engine
- A fuel pump is a frequently (but not always) essential component on a car or other internal combustion engined device.
- The fuel pump moves gas from the gas tank and delivers it to the fuel injection system or carburetor.
- A high volume and pressure of fuel is required to run an EFI system. EFI fuel pumps are sized in liters (LPH) or gallons (GPH) and are capable of producing 60-90 pounds of pressure in the fuel line. A typical automotive fuel pump for a carburetor produces 5-7 pounds of pressure.
- using or providing or producing or transmitting or operated by electricity; "electric current"; "electric wiring"; "electrical appliances"; "an electrical storm"
- An electric train or other vehicle
- a car that is powered by electricity
- (of a situation) exceptionally tense; "an atmosphere electric with suspicion"
- A machine with moving parts that converts power into motion
- something used to achieve a purpose; "an engine of change"
- locomotive: a wheeled vehicle consisting of a self-propelled engine that is used to draw trains along railway tracks
- A railroad locomotive
- motor that converts thermal energy to mechanical work
- A thing that is the agent or instrument of a particular process
- Small items of clothing, esp. underwear
- the slender part of the back
- limited or below average in number or quantity or magnitude or extent; "a little dining room"; "a little house"; "a small car"; "a little (or small) group"
- on a small scale; "think small"
1969 HONDA N360
This is one of my Honda N360's which I purchased as a basket case a while ago. It had no windows forward of the "B" post and a sunshine floor (Think about it). Because Honda spares for this model are extremely scarce and expensive, I only fitted the genuine article when I really had to. For instance, it has an electric fuel pump, windscreen washers and inertia reel belts sourced from a mini. The electronic ignition, coil and plug leads from a Citroen 2CV. Allthough I now have four genuine hub caps, the ones shown hear are plastic ones off a Reliant Robin. The bonnet release and choke cables are proprietery aticles from Halfords.
The engine starts a 354cc, four stroke air cooled twin starts firsrt time and is turbine smooth, allthough being so small has to be revved a bit in the gears but is good for about 70 mph. The crash gearbox keeps me in practice.
I sprayed it myself. I do not like white cars, so sprayed the bottom half grey, but I feel the two colours blend well together.
My other Honda N360 is a later blue 1970 example and well nigh original in every respect.
Sorry about the w*nk photograph.
37249 1976 02 Thornaby
37249 stabled by the fuel pumps at Thornaby MPD, 13th February 1976. 37249 was originally D6949 and was released from English Electric Vulcan Foundry on the 9th December 1964 allocated to Canton. Transferred to Healey Mills (August 1967), Gateshead (March 1975), Thornaby (October 1975), Healey Mills (October 1976) and Tinsley (August 1984). In 1986 four class 37s, were converted to test the Mirrlees MB275T engine and Brush alternator for the proposed class 38. 37249 was one of these locomotives and became 37903. It was also fitted with new bogies, and had ballast weights to increase their overall weight to 120 tons. Following conversion it allocated to Canton and operated as part of the Heavy Metals sector. During the late 1990s use of the Class 37/9s declined due to availability of the newer and more powerful class 66s and problems maintaining such a small number of non-standard locos and 37903 was stored unserviceable in December 1998. Following storage it migrated to Crewe in July 1999 where it would slowly decay until broken up on site by Harry Needle Railway Co. in October 2005.

THE CHRISTMAS TALE OF A LIBERAL AND OTHERS OF THEIR ILK
By Jeffrey Lord on 12.21.10 @ 6:08AM
Requiem: Hymn or dirge for repose of the dead.
-- Webster's Collegiate Dictionary
Christmas, 1985.
Tom Wicker was upset.
The longtime New York Times political reporter turned columnist, an icon of liberal journalism in the day, was furious with President Ronald Reagan and his conservative administration. So he sat himself down during the Christmas season and penned a column titled "Requiem at Christmas."
That would be requiem, as in a hymn for the dead.
The subject of Wicker's fury is worth a look this Christmas, twenty-five years later. His tirade was delivered as Reagan and the conservative movement were riding a wave of public popularity just a year after Reagan's 49-state re-election over former Vice President Walter Mondale.
Why is this important enough to take another look? Because this tale of a supposed political Scrooge and the Christmas Past of 1985 provides a glimpse of Christmas Future for conservatives in 2011.
Wicker, you see, was waxing eloquent about a pond at his rural retreat in historic Rappahannock County, Virginia. There, some twenty years earlier during the height of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, the columnist built his pond on his own property. Perhaps understandably for a man who had spent his life as a liberal wordsmith, Wicker saw this moment of pond-building as "perhaps the single most constructive act of my life."
He also paid for the construction of the pond himself. Good man. A liberal who believes in private sector job creation.
But wait! Paid for it all himself? Then why in the world was Tom Wicker so furious at Ronald Reagan and conservatives?
What was this business of a "Requiem at Christmas"?
Well, there was actually more than a pond involved, you see. First, the government of the Commonwealth of Virginia arrived to stock Wicker's pond "with large mouth bass, bluegills and channel catfish," the latter, Mr. Wicker assures us, "to establish a natural cycle" in his new private pond. But there was something else. There was also a dam. And instead of hiring a private sector contractor to design his dam, Mr. Wicker went somewhere else. Guesses, anyone?
That's right. Instead of pumping his New York Times earnings into this task, Mr. Wicker turned to -- you. You as in the taxpayers funding the federal government of the United States circa 1965. Specifically, in Wicker's words, he turned to "Eddie Woods, the district agent for the Federal Soil Conservation Service, (who) designed the dam so well that the water eventually rose precisely to the little red flags he had set out to predict the shoreline of what he called a 'water impoundment.'"
Said Wicker as his fury rose to what might be called the liberal anger impoundment shoreline of the Times print pond: "That's only an infinitesimal incident in the annals of one of the Federal services dedicated to the American earth and to those who work and cherish it." Indeed, indeed. "Infinitesimal" is precisely the word for whatever federal tax dollars were spent on his pond. Then, without missing a beat or evidencing a solitary thread of irony, Wicker moves his readers from the pond-designing Federal Soil Conservation Service to another agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture: the Agricultural Extension Service.
There, he fingers Scrooge. Otherwise known as President Ronald Reagan.
While we are left to ponder the fact that good ole Eddie Woods of the Federal Soil Conservation Service was spending his time designing Wicker's private dam on Wicker's private property, Wicker sharply points out: "Now Ronald Reagan wants to kill the Extension Service to save money; if the service is needed his aides say, let the states pay for it."
At this point, Wicker's outrage at this horrifying bit of Dickensian Scroogery from the Reagan White House explodes.
"What effrontery!" he splutters. The nerve of Reagan. Trying to cut back the federal government by suggesting that if a service is so valuable to a state that state should pay for the service and leave the American taxpayer in other states alone.
On a roll, Wicker moves to another outrageous Reagan idea: privatizing the Federal Housing Administration. What a wretched, foolish idea snaps Mr. Wicker. Why, the whole reason for the FHA, a New Deal program from 1934, was that private institutions "failed to make housing loans available to low and middle-income people…in the first place." Translation: mortgages were not given to those who could not afford them.
Imagine that. Way back there in 1985 Mr. Wicker simply can't imagine what could possibly go wrong with forcing the government's way into the private housing market and making sure people who can't afford mortgages get them from the federal government. The very idea of getting rid of such a program made Wicker's bile rise. As with an unrelated Agriculture Department program, this
gemeentemuseum-54
In the early twentieth century, architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage (1856-1934) was the foremost pioneer in the field of modern architecture in the Netherlands. The controversial building of the Gemeentemuseum (Municipal museum) was his crowning achievement. Unfortunately, he died before the museum was completed.
The 1903 Amsterdam exchange building is the earliest obvious example. His final masterpiece, the Hague Municipal museum, was the crowning glory of a sizeable oeuvre of great international significance as the forerunner of modern architecture. Berlage disliked excessive decoration and expensive materials and wanted his buildings to attract attention by their volume, relief and silhouette. But he hardly ever confined his attentions simply to the architecture. His interventions in the interior and designs for furniture, glass and tableware frequently turned the buildings he designed into total works of art.
Through the main entrance to the museum visitors pass between two pylons to approach the building via a covered walkway flanked by two ponds. The transition enables them to leave the streets of the city and the cares of everyday life literally behind them. The glass sides of the walkway offer soothing views of the building’s reflections in the water. The walkway is intended to conduct visitors into the world of art. By offering a peaceful interlude immediately before they enter the museum, it enables them to enjoy the exhibitions to the full.
The superstructure of the museum is built of concrete and iron. In the 1930s, the use of reinforced concrete was still fairly new. The concrete skeleton was then faced with striking ochre-coloured bricks. The brick walls are not load bearing. To underline this fact, unusual patterns were incorporated in them, suggesting latticework. Built like this, the walls could never have supported the weight of the structure without the concrete skeleton. The design of the museum is based on a grid composed of squares and cubes with sides measuring 1.10 metres. All the walls and columns are located on the system lines and intersections of this grid. The number 11 and multiples of it recur throughout the building. The ochre-coloured bricks had to be specially made to fit these basic dimensions.
Light is an important consideration in the design of any museum. Top-lighting proved to be ideal for paintings, while oblique lighting was best for decorative arts exhibits. One planned to display the painting collections on the upper floor. Pitched glass roofing structures were constructed and glass ceilings and translucent veils installed beneath them to direct the light to the parts of the exhibition spaces where it was needed. Round the edges of the veil, the light filtered down over the walls, while the centre of the exhibition space was rather less well-lit. The electric lighting required on days with lower natural light levels was installed behind the glass ceilings. For decorative arts displays, oblique lighting was the ideal solution. The ground floor exhibition spaces still employ oblique natural top-lighting from windows set relatively high in the outside walls. Its innovative use of light is one of the things that gave the museum the reputation of being one of the most advanced museum buildings of its day.
Temperature control is an important factor in the conservation of any collection. The arrangements made in the museum were ahead of their time. Radiators create movements of the air and therefore of dust particles, which are damaging to exhibits. To get round this problem, Berlage opted for the (then) new and expensive system of panel heating, by which water is heated to around 60 degrees and pumped through a network of pipes inside the walls. The walls then radiate a constant and even heat and no draughts are created. Panel heating could eventually be used in most of the main exhibition spaces on both floors. The period rooms and service areas were heated in the traditional way, using radiators, while the chosen solution for the foyer, the auditorium and the first-floor reception gallery was convection heating. Warm air was blown into these areas through grilles. In the reception gallery, tile work was used to turn these into an attractive architectural feature.

Covering our bed, just in case of a 'Cayenne leak'
We have a small but, EXTREMELY annoying guest up in the attic. A Squirrel that keeps digging and digging and digging all through the night.
Though I contempleted in going up there myself and stragle him to death many times, I could not. So, we found ways of getting rid of Squirrels the 'natural way' on line, and Pepper is their Kryptonite.
We borrowed a pump spray, and drilled a hole into the roof/Attic, but realized that once the chili goes airborne, it might come down to our bedroom, so that is what's going on in this rather odd.. A bit suspicious photo.
NOT a crime scene, I swear ;D

POWER STEERING PUMP SEALS. POWER STEERING
Power steering pump seals. Pump it up dvd 2011. Carrier heat pump review.
Power Steering Pump Seals
- automotive steering where engineer power amplifies the torque applied to the steering wheel
- Power-assisted steering
- Steering assisted by hydraulics. Fluid is pumped into a cylinder that helps make the wheels turn with less effort.
- Power steering (or more correctly for most road vehicles power assisted steering), assists the driver of an automobile in steering by directing a portion of the vehicle's power to traverse the axis of one or more of its wheels.
- The job of the pump seal is to keep water from the "wet end" of the pump and out of the motor. It is very important to always change the pump seal assembly anytime the impeller is removed or if the motor is replaced or serviced.
My 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 390 engine and 4 barrel carb
This is the 390 engine in my 1964 Galaxie 500 XL. Its a 1970 Mercury 390 dressed up with 1964 Ford parts including intake manifold and Fomoco carb. I have had some questions about what a stock looking 1964 Galaxie engine bay looks like. This one still has a generator and single power brake system. There are many things I would love to upgrade about this but out of money and it runs great so I leave it alone. The engine has some of the factory chrome pieces available in 1964 and uses the factory stock power steering system including the pump. I have added notes to the engine so if you have questions please ask. Also this was upgraded with the Thunderbird fan blade and AC fan shroud to help keep it cooler, works sometimes.
1968 Plymouth Satellite
Mother bought it new from a neighbor car-salesman "friend". It worked good through the rest of her life, about eleven years. Daughter inherited Grandma's cool car and drove it for another five years or so. Originally white, it was re-done in tasty yellow after a red-light runner ruined the passenger side. Its only failure in all that time was a worn-out power steering pump. It fell to me to be driving when it quit powering; quite an adventure, erratic steering assist. The fellow who bought it was delighted, and talked about making a Roadrunner of it. Wait: it also failed to keep exhaust smell from penetrating the passenger area., in spite of many efforts to seal it out.

At the end of the concert girls with an obvious influence got onstage and started dancing and throwing bluncing balls all around the venue.

Ticking
Still an actual theme these days....
Pastel and colored pencil on Steinbach paper (no. 1108-2008) - Elton John Songs Illustrated - TICKING (Caribou album, 1974) was for a very long time never one of my favorite EJ songs, but I still like it somehow. I always skipped it -or turned the record off - when it started to play. I didn't want to listen to it. But now, I really appreciate it, even more since I heard it "live" in 2008. I never made a drawing of it and even this time I combined it with "The Ballad Of Danny Bailey, 1909-34" from the EJ 1973 "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album. That is perhaps a strange combination, but I like sometimes putting songs together in one drawing. And hey, it's there now, so you can or may think whatever you want about it. Like Bernie said in an interview, you can interprete it as you like.

TICKING
Music and lyrics by Elton John and Bernie Taupin
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"An extremely quiet child" they called you in your school report
"He's always taken interest in the subjects that he's taught"
So what was it that brought the squad car screaming up your drive
To notify your parents of the manner in which you died
At St. Patricks every Sunday, Father Fletcher heard your sins
"Oh, he's unconcerned with competition he never cares to win"
But blood stained a young hand that never held a gun
And his parents never thought of him as their troubled son
"Now you'll never get to Heaven" Mama said
Remember Mama said
Ticking, ticking
"Grow up straight and true blue
Run along to bed"
Hear it, hear it, ticking, ticking
They had you holed up in a downtown bar screaming for a priest
Some gook said "His brain's just snapped" then someone called the police
You'd knifed a Negro waiter who had tried to calm you down
Oh you'd pulled a gun and told them all to lay still on the ground
Promising to hurt no one, providing they were still
A young man tried to make a break, with tear-filled eyes you killed
That gun butt felt so smooth and warm cradled in your palm
Oh your childhood cried out in your head "they mean to do you harm"
"Don't ever ride on the devil's knee" Mama said
Remember mama said
Ticking, ticking
"Pay your penance well, my child
Fear where angels tread"
Hear it, hear it, ticking, ticking
Within an hour the news had reached the media machine
A male caucasian with a gun had gone berserk in Queens
The area had been sealed off, the kids sent home from school
Fourteen people lying dead in a bar they called the Kicking Mule
Oh they pleaded to your sanity for the sake of those inside
"Throw out your gun, walk out slow just keep your hands held high"
But they pumped you full of rifle shells as you stepped out the door
Oh you danced in death like a marionette on the vengeance of the law
"You've slept too long in silence" Mama said
Remember Mama said
Ticking, ticking
"Crazy boy, you'll only wind up with strange notions in your head"
Hear it, hear it, ticking, ticking

Human rights stoned (in Iran)
Women have enormous inner energy crushed through out the ages through systematic suppression, and when this energy is allowed to excerpted, it will be explosive. In Iran, women bear much energy and will and have so far formed the front line in confronting religious fundamentalism. They have been the first victim, because the mullahs have always targeted them as the first experiment to crush society, and for this reason they are the first to have tasted the mediaeval.
from Mr.Rajavi's speech on 8 March 2008:
Today, the issue of women and the need for their active participation in all political, social and economic spheres has become the most urgent necessity for progress, democracy and peace.
Without women's leadership role, the fight for freedom will not go forward.
Without the active and equal presence of women in leadership levels, democracy would be deficient and hollow.
And without women's genuine participation, instead of economic development, the trend of poverty, inequality and squandering of material and human resources will continue.
Thus, it is essential to think about the subject of equality, figure out ways of removing its obstacles and a strategy for its advancement, while looking at some success stories and exemplary cases.
With this in mind, I would like to talk about an example which is rather novel in the history of Iran and Islam. I am referring to the three decades of women's struggle within the ranks of the Iranian Resistance, which at its core witnessed the perseverance of the women-led Ashraf City.
Located in neighboring Iraq, about fifty kilometers from Iran’s border, Ashraf City is home to thousands of women and men who have spent 22 years of their lives struggling to establish democracy in their homeland. The one thousand women who currently reside in Ashraf City, in reality represent the world’s largest concentration of vanguards of the equality movement.
In the past 30 years, our movement has engaged in an all-out war with a religious fascism, which is based on gender apartheid. Although fundamentally reactionary and backwards, this monster employs the most modern technologies to suppress, control, intimidate, and terrorize people, essentially by exploiting religion. Such exploitation characterizes it as a new phenomenon in history.
Confronting this source of darkness and evil would have been an impossible undertaking, unless the essential building blocks of the resistance movement against it sheltered the most fundamental human values: Equality, liberty, freedom of choice and democracy.
Khomeini and the clique of mullahs supporting him deluded the Iranian people and usurped the leadership of the 1979 revolution with slogans and claims about Islam. Since the first day of their rule, they began to suppress the population, especially women, because they were terrified of freedom and democracy. Their intention was to erect a theocratic empire under the banner of Islam through the export of terrorism and war.
However, owing to the presence of a popular and organized opposition, which defended a tolerant and democratic Islam, the mullahs were quickly isolated. Now, more than ninety percent of the Iranian people are demanding regime change. The mullahs' brutal suppression of the people and their current efforts to build nuclear weapons and dominate Iraq, far from being from a position of strength, are therefore designed to forestall the overthrow of a regime, which has reached the end of the line.
From the outset, the religious fundamentalists' voracious single-mindedness could not tolerate a drop of ideological diversity, let alone the thought of a democratic Islam, the antithesis to fundamentalism, represented by the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), the main component of the resistance to the regime.
Meanwhile, Mojahedin women took on an impressive role in confronting the mullahs since the very first days of the mullahs' rule. Although they wore scarves themselves, Mojahedin women bravely withstood the repugnant mantra of "either the veil or a hit on the head."
For a regime which ruled under the name of Islam, it was extremely difficult to tolerate that the Muslim Mojahedin, especially women and girls in their ranks, would be at the forefront of the opposition.
Mojahedin women paid a heavy price in the face-off with the mullahs. Tens of thousands of them endured dreadful imprisonment, horrific tortures and were executed.
Nonetheless, the struggle continued.
In a traditional society, subjugated by religious dictatorship, women had to overcome formidable obstacles in their struggle against this monster. In most cases, the first obstacle was women's families and their parents. Women also had to forgo their education, husbands and children to join the ranks of the Resistance. There was no room for family life amid the struggle against a barbaric regime which does not even refrain from hanging children.
Moreover, contrary to men, women had to
