DigitalDiagnost with wireless portable detector
The DigitalDiagnost X-ray system with its modular components allows highly customized configurations to meet demanding workflow and application challenges. In combination with the new wireless portable detector it is an excellent high-end solution, making digital radiography rooms even more flexible and efficient.
Besides increased flexibility for difficult projections at the X-ray table, patient bed, or wheelchair the cable-free design of the wireless portable detector offers higher comfort with easier patient positioning.
The wireless portable detector provides excellent image quality thanks to UNIQUE image processing and advanced grid-line correction algorithm. DigitalDiagnost with wireless portable detector allows for a faster workflow with almost instant image availability compared to Computed Radiography (CR) technology.
Maximum environmental protection is achieved by the non-use of CR cassettes and readers. Compared to a configuration with CR, the DigitalDiagnost green product with wireless portable detector has reduced product weight by 10% and lead amount by 16%. It offers a dose reduction of 12%, less energy consumption of 18% as well as reduced packaging weight by 4%. The life cycle assessment improvement is of 12%.

3D navigation demo in Imaginations' booth
NAVTEQ had a joint demo in Imagination Technologies' booth. It was announced that Imagination, a leading multimedia chip technologies company, has teamed up with NAVTEQ to drive innovation in graphics for location-based services (LBS). Imagination and NAVTEQ Network for Developers™ (NN4D.com) aim to stimulate increased developer adoption by providing technical documentation and resources for how to build advanced LBS applications for wireless devices with smoothly rendered 3D mapping and navigation features. NAVTEQ® maps and visual location content such as 3D landmarks can be incorporated by developers into mobile applications enhanced through Imagination’s 3D graphics acceleration technology and using the standard OpenGL® ES application programming interface (API).
