Clock Tower, Leicester Vintage postcard. I suspect that all that now remains from this scene is the clock tower! In fact, I can't orientate it, because the view has changed so dramatically. Wonderful signs: I wonder what 'the Palace' was! Postmark is confusing. Looks like 'Dec 12 65' but stamp is most definitely an Edward VII ha'penny. So, must date to 1905 (which is backed up by the costumes of the people in the scene). "Dear L, Soon[?] are you going on Arith[?] alright. How did you get on with the well's[?] head. Love to Nellie. Waterbury and it’s neighboring towns were famous for manufacturing clocks, and the high clock tower of the station is it’s signature characteristic.
