VAGABOND INN HOTEL CIRCLE. I HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER. THE INN AT THE SPANISH STEPS.
Vagabond Inn Hotel Circle
BEST VIEWED LARGE. This southwest corner of Mission Valley (San Diego) is known as Hotel Circle, a loop along both sides of Interstate 8 lined with hotels and motels. Visible in this photo are Best Western, Super 8, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Courtyard, Mission Valley Resort, Kings inn, Doubletree Club, Ramada, Handlery Hotel, Town & Country, Comfort Inn, Vagabond, and more. On the far right is the Riverwalk Golf Course and the San Diego River, emptying into the Pacific Ocean at the top. At the center top of the photo is the Serra Museum, built in 1929 on the site of the Presidio, the first mission and fort of Spanish settlers in present-day California. On the far right top corner is Sea World, with its bizarre turquoise splashdown ride, and the Mission Bay Hyatt, originally Pacific Southwest Airlines' Islandia Hotel.
Alamitos from Vagabond Inn
Another 7:00 a.m. view from the Vagabond Inn while getting Coffee. The 'Litter-free' sign seems to work fine because this is one of the cleanest cities I've been to EVER. Nothing artsy or hi-tech being attempted here. As always, my primary motive is to save and share all the memories of my lifetime in an organized and accessible way.
