SHADE GARDEN IDEAS : DRAPES
Shade Garden Ideas
- Shade gardens are gardens planted and grown in areas with little or no direct sunlight during the day, either under trees or on the shady sides of buildings. Shade gardening presents certain challenges, in part because only certain plants are able to grow in shady conditions.
- A thought or suggestion as to a possible course of action
- (idea) a personal view; "he has an idea that we don't like him"
- An opinion or belief
- A concept or mental impression
- (idea) the content of cognition; the main thing you are thinking about; "it was not a good idea"; "the thought never entered my mind"
- (idea) mind: your intention; what you intend to do; "he had in mind to see his old teacher"; "the idea of the game is to capture all the pieces"
Stone path into the shade garden
Caladiums provide the bulk of the color in this densely shaded area. They are real workhorses -- marvelous brilliant colors or whites, big and showy, carefree, pests don't seem to care for them, and best of all, they don't really require a lot of water. The ones showing here are 'Freida Hemple', 'White Queen', 'Fannie Munson', and 'White Wings'.

I bring the indoor orchids out into a sheltered place in the garden and take them back in when cold weather approaches. This one just bloomed two days ago.
