abrasive grinding wheel - Norton Metal

Norton Metal Right Cut Right Angle Grinder Reinforced Abrasive Flat Cut-off Wheel, Type 01, Aluminum Oxide, 7/8" Arbor, 4-1/2" Diameter x 0.040" Thickness (Pack of 5)

Norton Metal Right Cut Right Angle Grinder Reinforced Abrasive Flat Cut-off Wheel, Type 01, Aluminum Oxide, 7/8

Norton Metal Type 1 Right Cut right angle grinder wheels are contaminant free, without iron, sulfur or chlorine, making them suitable for the nuclear industry. These wheels have versatile aluminum oxide for use on steels, iron alloys, and other ferrous (iron-containing) metals.
Reinforced cutoff wheels are designed to resist breakage caused by severe cross-bending and are required on any operation where the work is not securely clamped. Resin bonds are organic bonds that soften under the heat of grinding, releasing dulled abrasive grains. Because of its forgiving nature, only an organic type bond is used in cutoff wheels. The resin-bonded wheel is more resilient than a vitrified wheel. The manufacturing term for a resin bond wheel is "cured," meaning the wheel has been heated to less than 500 degrees F. Straight (also called flat) wheels are the most common grinding wheel shape. Straight wheels are used for grinding on the periphery, or outside boundary edge, of the wheel and produce a slightly concave surface, called hollow ground, on the workpiece. These wheels can be used for cutting off, tool grinding (between centers or centerless), and removing mold marks and sand from castings, among others. They are frequently used with grinding machines. Using a harder grade wheel increases wheel life but also increases burn and requires more power, and decreases cut rate. Burn is the effect on a workpiece from thermal stress as abrasive cuts or rubs material away. The damage ranges from discoloration to cracking of the workpiece.
Aluminum oxide is a widely used and versatile abrasive material. It is a tough, fracture- and wear-resistant grit that works well with a broad range of materials, from metals to wood. Aluminum oxide is more durable than silicon carbide and often used for material removal and finishing.
Abrasives are used for a variety of applications from shaping a part to fine finishing, depending on the grit size. Low grit numbers like 40 are coarse and are used for removing excess material and shaping a part. High grit numbers like 400 are fine and help to create a smooth surface finish.
Norton Abrasives manufactures a wide variety of sanding, grinding, and polishing abrasives, and has been located in the United States since 1885. In 1990, Saint-Gobain purchased Norton, keeping its manufacturing facilities and offices in the same location. Norton/Saint-Gobain has been recognized as a Global 100 Sustainable Company, as well as earning ISO 9000 and 14001 certification for quality and environmental management standards.

An angle grinder is a handheld power tool used for grinding and polishing.

Angle grinders can be powered by an electric motor, petrol engine or compressed air. The motor drives a geared head at a right-angle on which is mounted an abrasive disc that can be renewed when worn. Angle grinders typically have an adjustable guard and a side-handle for two-handed operation. There are myriad different disks that are used for various materials and tasks, such as cut-off disks (Diamond Blade), abrasive grinding disks, sanding disks, wire-brush wheels and polishing pads. The angle grinder has large bearings to counter side forces generated during cutting, unlike a power drill, where the force is axial.

Corundum Point

Corundum Point

Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing once set up a mining operation here after a deposit of the expensive mineral Corundum was thought to have been found. Corundum was used in the manufacture of abrasives for high quality grinding wheels. The mineral turned out to be the much softer Anorthosite and the site was abandoned along with 3M's early mining prospects. The company later turned to making sandpaper.

Norton Premium White Bench and Pedestal Abrasive Wheel, Type 1 Straight, Aluminum Oxide, 1

Norton premium white aluminum oxide bench and pedestal wheels provide maximum cut rate and cool cutting action on hardened or high-speed tool steels and other metals. Bench and pedestal wheels are used for offhand deburring and sharpening of parts and tools. Arbor bushings to 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8". Specification: Medium 60. All bench and pedestal wheels must be dressed to prevent loading. Loading can cause excessive heat, damage to the workpiece and wheel breakage. Dressing exposes new cutting edges and provides chip clearance. Do not grind wood, plastic or any other non-metallic material on a bench or pedestal grinder. Unsecured machines can move, causing grinding breakage and injury. Fixed-base bench and pedestal grinders must be secured.

Chrome Plated Alloy Steel Socket Cap Screw, Hex Socket Drive, 7/16"-14, 1-3/4" Length (Pack of 10)

Chrome Plated Alloy Steel Socket Cap Screw, Hex Socket Drive, 7/16

Socket Cap Screws are reliable and durable and are used in many applications. They are available in a variety of head styles and materials.

Alloy Steel is steel that has been alloyed with other materials to improve overall physical properties. Steels are designated by a 4 number SAE Steel grade. The first two digits indicate the primary materials used to form the steel. The last 2 digits identify the percentage of carbon for the alloy (in hundredths). Tensile strength ranges for the alloys typically used in these fasteners range from 170,000 to 180,000 psi (pounds per square inch), making these amongst the strongest of materials. Chrome Plating helps to prevent corrosion.

With a high cylindrical head, socket cap head fasteners have a recessed driving area and offer high hold power at high torque levels. Hex socket drive systems are driven by hex wrenches or power tools with hexagonal bits.

A threaded fastener's size name includes information about the major external diameter, followed by the threads per inch, which indicates if it is coarse or fine. Coarse threads are better when working with brittle materials; they are sturdier and are easier to thread and unthread compared to fine. Coarse threading also allows for thicker coatings and platings.

EXPLORED - The ape

EXPLORED - The ape

Explored: 2009-09-10 #480

This is a true Italian classic and its the predominant means of transport in rural Tuscany.

At the end of WWII, most Italians, badly affected by the war, lacked modes of transport, and more importantly, the financial means to acquire full-sized four-wheeled vehicles. In 1947 the inventor of the Vespa, aircraft designer Corradino D'Ascanio, came up with the idea of building a light three wheeled commercial vehicle to power Italy's economical reconstruction, an idea which found favour with Enrico Piaggio.

The very first Ape model and the mark immediately following it were mechanically a Vespa with two wheels added to the rear, with a flat-bed structure on top of the rear axle.

The Ape has been in continuous production since its inception and has been produced in a variety of different body styles in Italy and India.

Controlled with scooter style handlebars, the original Ape was designed to sit one, but can accommodate a passenger (with a tight fit) in its cab. A door on each side is provided, making it quicker to get out of the vehicle when making deliveries to different sides of the road. Performance is suited to the job of light delivery, with good torque for hills but a low top speed, which is irrelevant in the urban settings it was designed to operate in. Outside of towns Apes are customarily driven as close as possible to the curb to allow traffic to pass.

The 126.3-inch (3,210 mm) wheelbase version of the Eldorado would run through 1978, receiving facelifts in 1973 and 1975. As before, the Eldorado and Toronado shared the front-wheel drive E-body chassis, while the Riviera (which would temporarily switch to the "B" platform for 1977) remained rear-wheel drive.

The Cadillac Eldorado was chosen as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 1973. All in all, Cadillac produced 566 of these special pace car convertibles. 33 were used at the track during the race week and the remaining 513 cars were distributed to the U.S. Cadillac dealers (one for each dealership), which were then sold to the general public.

The wheels of "Dharma"

The wheels of

"Dharma" means one's righteous duty, just as "Karma" is an act, deed or manifestation of thought. Karma also explains the cause and effect relationship.

The symbol of dharma – the wheel – is the central motif in the national flag of India.

Various Indian religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism, among others) have accorded a central focus to Dharma and advocate its practice. In Indian tradition, beings that live in accordance with Dharma proceed more quickly toward Dharma Yukam, Moksha or Nirvana (personal liberation).

Buddhism equates physically spinning the wheel of Dharma to reciting a prayer. The concept of the prayer wheel is a physical manifestation of the phrase "turning the wheel of Dharma," which describes the way in which the Buddha taught - source Wiki

These prayer wheels are a ubiquitous feature in monasteries all over Ladakh. Buddhists believe in renunciation as opposed to consumption, advocate and practise peace and not conflict, and are a truly unique people. It is this unique religion - so apparent in Ladakh - that misleads some into believing it to be Tibet.

MEDICINE WHEEL COLOURS. MEDICINE WHEEL

Medicine Wheel Colours

medicine wheel colours

    medicine wheel
  • Medicine wheels, or sacred hoops, were constructed by laying stones in a particular pattern on the ground. Most medicine wheels follow the basic pattern of having a center of stone(s), and surrounding that is an outer ring of stones with "spokes", or lines of rocks radiating from the center.

  • A large circular pattern made on the ground through the placement of stones. The patterns could include other rings, spokes and cairns. The Blackfoot indians used these kinds of structures as part of a death lodge to inter famous and powerful warriors.

  • A stone circle built by North American Indians, believed to have religious, astronomical, territorial, or calendrical significance

  • Since 50 states werenit enough, yuppie New Agers stole this ritual so they could use it to fix flat tires on their mountain bikes and Jeeps.

    colours
  • The use of all colors, not only black, white, and gray, in photography or television

  • The property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way the object reflects or emits light

  • (colour) color: having or capable of producing colors; "color film"; "he rented a color television"; "marvelous color illustrations"

  • colors: a flag that shows its nationality

  • One, or any mixture, of the constituents into which light can be separated in a spectrum or rainbow, sometimes including (loosely) black and white

  • colors: a distinguishing emblem; "his tie proclaimed his school colors"

Prayer Ties

Prayer Ties

It is a Native American belief that you must offer a gift that will delight the higher spirits in order to gain their attention and blessings. Usually the more work and effort put into an item for offering, the more inclined the spirits are to bless the request put to them. This requires more focus upon the intent of the prayer by its creator, hence giving it more energy.

Prayer ties are the oldest and simplest way to pray using tobacco. Tobacco is a sacred botanical in the Native American tradition. It amplifies prayers, provides healing and purification, extracts negativity in spiritual healings, and allows communication with spirits.

Prayer ties are made by using pieces of 100% cotton cloth. Each color represents a direction on the Medicine Wheel.
1 East - Yellow – Air - New Beginnings, Rebiirth, Prosperity, Longevity
2 South - Red – Fire - Motivation, Creativity, Growth
3 West - Black - Water – Healing, Transformation, Introspecction
4 North - White – Earth - Wisdom, Spirit, Strength, Clear Vision
5 Above - Blue – Father Sky, Masculine Energy, Spiritual Healing
6 Below - Green – Mother Earth, Feminine Energy, Physical Healing
7 Center - Purple – Balance, Harmony, Self, Mental Healing
8 Parallel Universe – Orange - Soul Mate, Twin Flame

Prayer energy is offered into the tobacco by holding the tobacco in the left hand, lifting it to the heart, and saying a prayer. Then the tobacco is placed in the center of the cloth. The 4 corners are drawn up forming a small pouch which is tied to a string by using a clove hitch (2 half hitches).

Prayer ties are released into the universe through burning. This releases the prayers in the smoke and allows them to be carried to Grandfather, Grandmother, and Great Spirit. The ties should be burned within a year of being created.

Barn Sign

Barn Sign

I promised my neice when she got married I would make her a barn sign. The first problem was finding a wood circle. I purchased the wood and my father made the circle.
The design blends native and euopean cultures just as my neice and her husband do.
The magpies was his mothers totoem and I put that in the design twice because in celtic culture (my neice has Irish, Welsh and Scot) one magpie is bad luck. I use the medicine wheel colors to represent his Dakota ancestry.
I finally finished it 3 yrs after they got married so willl it take me 3 years to get it to them in SD? July 2008

Battle of Britain memorial flight 2011

MK356 was built at Castle Bromwich and delivered to Digby in March 1944 fitted with a Merlin 66 engine, optimised for operations at low level and below 25,000 feet. She was allocated to 443 ‘Hornet’ Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, which became part of 144 Canadian Wing, commanded by Wing Commander J. E. ‘Johnny’ Johnson and was based at various locations on the South Coast of England. The aircraft flew its first operational mission from Westhampnett on 14 April 1944 as part of a ‘Rodeo’ fighter sweep over occupied France. In the weeks leading up to the Invasion of France, MK356 was involved in various fighter and fighter-bomber missions. On D-Day +1 (7 June 1944) during an invasion beach head cover patrol, her pilot, Flying Officer Gordon Ockenden, a Canadian from Alberta, attacked 4 Bf109s “on the deck”. He chased one of the Messerschmitts, opened fire and obtained strikes. His wingman, Flt Lt Hugh Russell finished it off, so they were both credited with a shared kill. MK356 was damaged 3 times herself, including 2 belly landings and on 14 June lost a wheel on take-off; the pilot completing the mission prior to making a third belly landing. Normally the aircraft would have been repaired on site but the Squadron moved to a forward operating base in France the next day, leaving MK356 behind to be picked up and stored by a Maintenance Unit.

Post war MK356 was used as an instructional airframe, as a gate guardian at Hawkinge and Locking, and she also served as a static airframe in the film ‘The Battle of Britain’ before going on display in the museum at St Athan. In January 1992 a complete refurbishment to flying condition was commenced and in November 1997 the aircraft flew for the first time in 53 years, subsequently moving to her present home with the BBMF. Since 2008 the aircraft has been presented as UF-Q, MJ250 of No 601 (County of London) Squadron the aircraft of Flt Lt Desmond Ibbotson DFC*. She is in a silver paint scheme used during late 1944 when the Squadron carried out fighter bomber missions over the Balkans from bases in Southern Italy. Ibbotson, who shot down eleven (confirmed) enemy aircraft and survived being shot down by the enemy three times, was tragically killed in a test flight when his Spitfire crashed close to Assisi, Italy in November 1944.

KC HiLiTES 631 Daylighter - 6 In Black 130w Long Range Off Road Light System (Pair)

KC HiLites Daylighter Off-Road Lights sets have been a leading choice in all-terrain auxiliary light systems for more than 30 years. Each Daylighter kit comes with two 6-inch Round Daylighter Off-Road lamp housings, a fully assembled wiring harness, two 130W halogen long-range bulbs, which are 285,000 candlepower beam per light, and a pre-terminated wiring harness with a 40-amp relay and an in-cab control switch. Daylighter Off-Road Lights use a heavy-duty rubber gasket, or bulb holder, that isolates all the elements of the lamp, including the lens, the reflector, and the bulb, from the vagaries of weather. The kits also include a patented shock mounting system, updated so that it requires no extra drilling. This shock mounting system isolates the lamp unit from the mounting bracket, or surface on which the light is mounted, to reduce lamp failure due to vibration. It's a shock mount that can endure the extremes of off-road racing. With its ?" posts these shock mounts install most anywhere. The kit also includes two yellow "smiley face" lamp covers.

Trophee Cevenol

Trophee Cevenol

Found ..Tied up in Canvey Island.. an Outback Import..

Every year for the past 20 years more than 150 hard-core off-road vehicles have congregated in the cute village of Les Vans deep in the Cevennes National Park in southern France to take part in what most believe to be the toughest non-competitive recreational off-roading event available anywhere in Europe. The Trophee Cevenol includes rock crawling, mud-pling and rut-riding, an event deliberately designed to give hard-core highly-modified off-road cars somewhere to try out their enhanced equipment. How steep are the climbs? I can give you some idea, since I've been doing hard-core off-roading for over thirty years and even I was impressed. I was driving a lifted ARB-equipped Wrangler with photographer Pete at my side when a Land Rover up ahead turned off the track and lurched up such a steep slope that it nearly fell over backwards. "Ho, ho," I said, "look, Pete, he's gone the wrong way." Pete, who was navigating and had the route book open on his lap, said: "No, that's the way we go." It was, too. Half way up, as I strled to find enough grip for the B F Goodriches to stay in touch with the ground, Pete added: "You remember this, don't you? We drove down it yesterday." I remembered, all right - it was so steep that the Wrangler had threatened to lock up its wheels in first low and we'd had to stand on the bulkhead to stop ourselves falling out of the seats. Rocks? One year they'd found a boulder the size of an elephant for us to ease our way down off, another there was one the size of a double-storey house and so steeply angled that we had to approach it sideways to avoid slamming the winch bumper into it. The organisers had also found a lovely "vee" for us to drive through (above, left) which had many a car slipping over on to its side to the accompaniment of loud cheers from the onlookers. A fast-flowing river crossing one year was so deep that a lifted, mightily-modified YJ simply floated away and sank...

The Cevenol is a three-day event, with a different route to drive each day. Entrants are divided into a total of nine groups, three groups to each route each day, the groups starting an hour apart to reduce the chance of "traffic jams" at difficult sections. Jams are inevitable. The Cevenol is intended as a playing field for highly modified cars, but the accent is all on friendliness and team spirit, and there's nothing to stop people campaigning standard vehicles, as some do purposely on the quite acceptable grounds that overcoming the serious Cevenol obstacles is a greater test of their own driving skill; flat-fender Jeeps are a regular sight, amazing to see in action over such daunting terrain. For all that, there are some ridiculously long, steep climbs with severe axle-twisting ruts and rocks that many a standard car can't manage without a little bit of help from a winch. Let's face it, there are some obstacles that more than a few highly-modified vehicles have needed to winch themselves through. As I've already mentioned elsewhere, we did watch in awe one year as a bog-standard old Land Rover 90 pick-up plodded its way round with little fuss, but that was an impressively well-driven rarity...
Driving skill can play just as big a part in getting a highly-modified car around - there are folk who still freak out at at the sight of steep, twisting, deeply-rutted climbs and tend to use too much right foot in too low a gear with the result that even body lifts and locking diffs can't guarantee traction. On one afternoon the action switches to an area we've nicknamed the devil's playground because it's a superb hollow in the Cevennes highlands hundreds of metres deep and a couple of kilometres across; it it's been raining even getting down into it is a nerve-racking feat because the muddied soil gets as slippery as ice. Here there are several of those awkward axle-twisting climbs, with many twists and turns in them, many drivers getting themselves into difficulty by relying too heavily on locking differentials which may get them over humps and bumps, but can cause havoc with the steering when you're trying to aim the car accurately between boulders. This event is a great one to really get to grips with the technicalities of serious off-road driving.
Nextyear will see the 21st edition of the Trophee Cevenol, running in early May and possibly with a tough Prologue section to whet the appetite for the remaining three days of action. The event is organised by the French group Grands Randonneurs Motorises and you'll need to budget at least a grand to cover the entry fee and the cost of fuel, ferry crossing, accommodation and food. It may seem expensive but many who've tried it go back year after year because it's such a seriously exciting off-road kick that it's virtually impossible to resist. Save up and treat it as a holiday - the countryside .is gorgeous, the food and wine superb, th

GAZ 66. Gorki-1

GAZ 66. Gorki-1

Produced by the million, and used often by our foes. The Gaz66 are extremely reliable and make ideal medium size expedition vehicles, manufactured in Nizhmy Novogorod, Southern Russia. Production ran from 1964 to the late eighties.

They are best described as really tough cookies, and well known for there iron reliability and are bags of fun to drive as well. On Wikipedia they are described as follows "The Gaz-66 has gained legendary status in many countries around the world due to its reliability, simplicity and off-road capability".

The cabs are extremely well sound proofed, and often come with a very useful flat tray over the engine cover, perfect for your satnav.

Overall the Gaz is extremely reliable and ideal for those long expeditions to the far corners of the world, or just remote camping locations in Sutherland or lake district, where you want to be in the hills, but in comfort and not on a heaving site in August. Remember, these trucks were designed firstly for the soviet military and designed specifically for use in extreme climates with temperatures vary between minus to plus fifty degree’s, and of course to be driven by conscript drivers who didn’t care and would there best to destroy them. Often drivers would be told to drive hundreds of miles, and only allowed to stop for fuel. This is the kind of engineering you are dealing with here.

Construction is straight forward, being Russian you have lots of toys to play with. You have a compressor to inflate the tyres, this can done inside the cab. Or, you can deflate for softer ground. The compressor line goes to the rear and has valve setup for trailer towing with a twist air fitting. Brakes are conventional hydraulic, but you two remote servo assemblies. One the rear chassis member you not only have your air connections but a standard caravan power plug wired the same. Electrics are 12volts, but you have a huge alternator powered by two ‘V’ type belts.

The engine is a conventional V8, and is built for reliability. Block and heads are aluminium with wet liners with easy access to drain taps. Electrics are all waterproofed, in a protective shielding, and distributor is electronic. You have a controls to a radiator louver to shut off air for those extreme cold spells and for the minus fifty you have a separate petrol fired central heating system, this not only warms the coolant it warms the engine oil as well.

Transmission is conventional synchromesh, with a high a low transfer unit, control by two levers inside the cab. Handbrake is remote on the propshaft like a landy, but during normal operation you have servo assistance giving you belt and braces holding method. Axles are normal but you a limited slip rear diff.

Ergonomics of the cab are very comfortable, driving position is high to look over the vehicles in front, but you have a front wheel hub. The cab tilts to gain access to the engine area, but you can gain access from inside the cab via a lift up panel.

The rear box is of a modern strong but light, composite structure. Outer skin is two millimetre aluminium, inner is five millimetre ply with four millimetre ribs going to the outer skin running from side to side. The voids are filled with solid isocynate foam (like your expandable foam when dry). The floor again is ply but fifty, yes fifty millimetres thick. Windows are doubled glazed, and an independent diesel heater warms the back.

Wheels for the World: Henry Ford, His Company, and a Century of Progress

Wheels for the World: Henry Ford, His Company, and a Century of Progress

Few endeavors in history can match Ford Motor Company's impact on human civilization. Launched a century ago by a bumptious squad of clever eccentrics-led by the odd visionary mechanic Henry Ford-the first mass-production auto manufacturer would push the rest of the industrialized world into the modern age. Along with other social upheavals, Ford's reasonably priced and well-made assembly-line Model T would mobilize America's middle class while the company's cleverly generous "$5 Day" did no less than redefine industrial labor relations.

In Wheels for the World, Douglas Brinkley, one of our most engaging historians, reveals the riveting details of Ford Motor Company's epic achievements, chronicling the outlandish success of the Tin Lizzie to the beloved Model A through the glory days of the Thunderbird, Mustang, and Taurus, as well as the revolutionary plants where they were built-Highland Park and River Rouge. Brinkley tells of the amazing acquisitions of Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Mazda in the 1990s. His narrative also explores Ford Motor Company's darker aspects, from its founder's anti-Semitism, ill-considered wartime pacifism, and disloyalty-not only to the cohorts who made him the richest man of his time but also to his only son.

Along the way, Brinkley introduces us to the whole cast of colorful characters-from the irascible early brains of the outfit, later U.S. Senator James Couzens; to feisty Me-Decade CEO Lee Iacocca to the earnest young chairman and CEO of today, William Clay Ford, Jr.-whose dedication and vision have created a lustrous legacy around the world. What distinguishes Wheels for the World is not only the freshness of the fascinating new material that Brinkley has uncovered, but also the sweep of his story and the compelling clarity of his prose. In his many previous books, Brinkley has proven himself a master at crafting brilliant, accessible historical narratives and this is his finest achievement yet.

In conjunction with its 100th anniversary, the Ford Motor Company opened its monumental archives to the unfettered research of author/historian Douglas Brinkley. And while the 800-page history that resulted from that work (as well as Brinkley's tireless, amply footnoted source work elsewhere) is comprehensive to a fault, the scope and enduring impact of the industrial colossus wrought by Henry Ford make it often seem like mere introduction. Brinkley's meticulous, enlightened work can't help but find endless fascination with the company's founder, whose presence resonates through every phase of the company's history, from its fitful start (FMC was the third company to bear the Ford name), through the rise of the Model T (still one of the most ubiquitous and revolutionary mechanical contrivances of the last millennia), to its cycles of corporate decay and rebirth (variously via Iacocca's Mustang in the 60's and the technical innovations and potent retrenchment of trans-nationalism in the 90's). Henry Ford remains one of the greatest human paradoxes in a century filled with them: a largely self-taught engineer who couldn't read a blueprint, yet became a mass-production visionary; an employer whose social conscience (and no small amount of shrewd business acumen) doubled the salary of his employees one era, employed thugs to crush their union organizing efforts the next; a world figure who read little, yet published much, including anti-war editorials and vile, anti-Semitic tracts--despite the fact that his monumental manufacturing facilities were designed by Jews whose friendship and professional relationships he cultivated. The enviro-social impact of Ford's industrial innovations continues to loom, and Brinkley hardly ignores them. But his research is largely focused on the rich players (and their often perplexing psychology) of the Ford saga, all-too-human characters whose ambitious empire will continue to cast its long shadows over many a generation to come. --Jerry McCulley

I took this picture in 2005. How often do you go back to a picture over the years and try to imagine what it could be? You spend hours working on it to no avail. Hours become years and you are just not satisfied. Sometimes new techniques or technology/software give you the appearance you have been looking for.

5 years later I finally figured this one out.
