TechSystems Group Inc
The abandoned TechSystems Group/Boyd Furniture Factory was housed in a former missile assembly plant that encompassed 800,000 squrare feet under one roof. Boyd employed 600 people and was one of the last standing west coast furniture manufacturers. The cost of manufacturing in California and the increasing competition from overseas manufacturing were major factors in the decision to close the doors in the spring of 2003. We've been scouting this place out for weeks and decided to hit it up tonight.
It was easily one of the most scary places I had ever been. The entrance was through a broken glass door and down a hall. It then opened up into a large, read: fucking massive, room. There were scraps of office chairs, and insulation everywhere. It still smelled like a new office and everything still looked new, just strewn everywhere.
We came to a room where the roof had fallen down on one side, and it looked as if someone had punched through the door handle and ripped that part of the door completely off. It was a perfect spot for a picture, so I started getting out my camera when we all heard a noise like someone dropping some pipes far off on the other side of the building, but it echoed through the whole place. The noise repeated 2-3 times so we said screw it and left.
On the way out we stopped to talk to the bum sitting in the gutter that we passed on the way in. We asked him if a lot of people go in there, and he said that the fire department and SWAT use the building for training during the day. We told him about the noises and that we had been inside and he said that was a bad idea and it's his job to make sure people don't go in. He then pulled out a cell phone and started walking towards the building.
I'm pissed I got no shots from inside. Who wants to go back?

He hired a governess, but what retired officer Tristan Willoughby-Smith needs is a wife. Not on his behalf, but to protect little Dora and Freddie. When Caroline Bradley arrives at his Wyoming ranch, she seems perfectly suited—capable, efficient, intelligent…if a trifle too appealing.
Caroline knows what a real union of hearts should be, and the major's polite, no-nonsense offer hardly qualifies. Still, she accepts for the children's sake, little knowing the complications the marriage will bring to test her confidence and her faith.
