Fife Flyers 0 Coventry Blaze 2
A young Canadian import net minder, Garrett Zemlak put on a fantastic and heroic display to help his new team from taking a hammering at the hands of Coventry Blaze the most successful hockey team in the Elite Ice Hockey League.
Garett was picked up at the airport in Edinburgh on Friday and plunged into the firing line on Saturday. Despite this and the fact that the Flyers, debutantes of the pro league and icing a team many of whom only met each other a couple of weeks ago, he helped his team shut out Coventry in 2 of the three periods.
Fife Flyers have a long way to go but there is no doubt with the kind of spirit young Zemlak showed, they will achieve their goal.
