- A refrigerator is a cooling apparatus. The common household appliance (often called a "fridge" for short) comprises a thermally insulated compartment and a heat pump—chemical or mechanical means—to transfer heat from it to the external environment (i.e.

Homebrew Kegging Kit with Co2 Regulator and Keg (CO2 Tank not included)
This is the ultimate in homebrew storage and dispensing. You'll never have to spend so much time bottling again. Learn To Brew's Homebrew Kegging System holds a complete five gallon batch in one vessel, fits inside a spare refrigerator, eliminates the tedious chore of sanitizing and filling bottles, and makes it possible to force-carbonate your beer so you can enjoy handcrafted draft beer a day or two after kegging. We've often heard customers say (and we've said it ourselves) that a keg system is the best investment you can make in homebrewing equipment. It takes less than 30 minutes to keg a 5 gallon batch from sanitizing to clean-up, and by force-carbonating flat beer with pressurized CO2, your beer is ready to drink in a fraction of the time it takes bottle-conditioned homebrew to carbonate. What this all means is that you can spend less time working and more time appreciating your brewing prowess and accepting compliments. Included with this kit is a new dual gauge CO2 regulator, a reconditioned five-gallon ball lock soda keg, plastic "cobra" picnic faucet, and all necessary tubing and fittings to dispense your beer. All the tubing and fittings come preassembled for your convenience.
Day 131/365 - DeadFridge-0001
Day 131/365 - That is one DEAD frige... At least it's empty now!
I woke up Sunday morning, thirsty, and stumbled out to the refrigerator (letting the dog out on the way) to get some ice for a nice cold glass of water. My hand, unfortunately, went straight into a bucket of water, instead of ice.
It was a little strange -- the refrigerator was still running. The light was still on. Everything seemed to indicate that it should be cooling. But, no dice! No cold air, no cold food.
So, I quickly got all the frozen stuff & perishables into a cooler, closed the door again & hoped the rest wouldn't spoil. I had a spare refrigerator in the garage (it was supposed to turn into my new keg-erator eventually!), which I pled in. I went out to go shopping for a new fridge, and hoped the little refrigerator would be cold by the time I got home.
I found a new fridge, but it couldn't be delivered till Tuesday!!! I guess I'm stuck with the cooler & the small refrigerator till then.
Now, Monday night, the old refrigerator is unpled and truely dead.
