After coveting them (for months? years?), I gave in and bought my first pair of Dansko shoes. These are the Marcelle style in Cordovan Cabrio.

I wore them for the first time today and I was impressed by how comfy they are. I really like that the backs don't rub against my heels when I walk. I think I probably should've worn them with socks to break them in a little more easily, but I'm sure my feet will get used to them soon.

Also really nice: the adjustable strap. Colder weather is coming, which means handknit sock weather!

I wear a US size 8.5 and I'm a 39 EU in my Danskos.

We've been looking for a perfect coffee table for some time now. Talia found this absolute bargain on the weekend for a whole $5. It was finished in that horrible 70s light varnish so we decided to strip it back and stain it dark.

It's such a classic, interesting piece and really suits the lounge room perfectly. Feels really good to find something that is so suited to what we want and to know we are doing our bit to turn something old into something new again.
