Thomasville Coffee Tables

- During the Civil War the county contributed 10 companies totaling approximately 1,100 men to the Confederacy. The state provided salt from salt works known as the "Upper Works" and the "Lower Works.

oh my gosh, if this isn't the cutest place i've ever seen in my life i don't know what is.
today maggie, martha & i went to the cupcakery & textures handmade market on thomasville. the new location is AMAZING. this picture is only the beginning, literally. the chair/table are in the very front of the store. i'm not sure why i didn't include more in the frame. i think i was just too excited and distracted. so this is what i came home with.
i headed to the redeye afterwards for some coffee and ended up talking (more like dreaming aloud) with michael lopez. we then followed inspirations to Borders and needless to say i have a lot to think, write, and do in the next few days/weeks/months. really excited.

Thomasville has preserved one of Georgia's most impressive train stations, the former Atlantic Coast Line depot constructed south of downtown in 1916. The city was at the junction of two important ACL lines, an east-west line from Montgomery to Savannah and a north-south connection from Albany to Florida.
