KISS MY TATTOO natural healing balm (2)
I used Unrefined Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Hemp Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Carrot Seed Essential Oil, Rose Absolute Morroc Essential Oil, Calendula Herbal Oil and a little Beeswax.
The butters help to prevent the itching and help with the scuffing.
Hemp Seed Oil has the perfect balance of Omega Acids - PERFECT for the people that are allergic to any fish oil, this is a way to get the necessary nutrients for the skin.
Carrot Seed has the necessary vitamins to help for returning the skin to a healthy state.
Grapeseed Oil is naturally full of Vitamin E
Rose Absolute preserves the clarity and boldness of your tattoos and brightens colors.
Calendula is very gentle and perfect for soothing and healing.
Coconut Oil is awesome for the dry skin and it soaks in very quick.
Beeswax on its own is very pharmaceutical.
Mango butter is rich in vitamin A, E and beta carotene
Unrefined Shea butter will speed healing while reducing or eliminating pain and itch associated with the healing process after receiving a tattoo. Using Shea butter will also help reduce scaring.
Treat the tattoo as a huge wound, because thats what it is - you really should to avoid hot tubs, swimming pools and soaking in bathubs of water during the healing period. Before the surface heals, the skin is susceptible to infection and public pools and water are easy sources of bacteria. Also, the soaking can cause the scab to come off too soon, which can also hurt your new tattoo.
Wash your tattoo gently with unscented and natural soap, dont let it sit under the hot shower for too long, dont pick at the scabs....place a thin layer of the balm and massage it well in the skin

My husband is a tattoo freak! His first tattoo didnt go that well and I think thats because he was using Triple Ointment on it to heal. This is the deal with the commercial ointments - they contain petroleum and lanolin and BOTH clog the pores and dont let the skin to take a breath! Why do this to your brand new tattoo after hours on that chair and taking the pain in? Why not use something natural, light and moisturizing that is going to help you keep those vibrant colors that your artist drew on you?
Healing a wounded heart
The ability to acknowledge and express the degree of our emotional hurt/pain is an essential step towards the healing process. This flower bud could be a wonderful visual aid in expressing emotions of a wounded heart.
The pink hue around it is a visualisation of healing this pain . Gentle pink is a soothing and relaxing colour and to many it's seen as a colour of healing and unconditional love. Visualise this colour gradually and completely enveloping and healing the wounded heart - bringing feelings of joy, happiness, love and affection back into your life.
