... the Oath:

Jester was surprised to find that Old Partick Thistle is the retired Head of Special Operations.
Partick and Magistrate Jenny witnessed Jester taking the oath before the Top Hat Police Officer.

Jester was asked to put a donation in the swear box but it seems that the box had been stolen.

Children: Only let your parents offer cash to police officers.

[5-22-2011] - A Gardener’s Playhouse

Where summer’s colorful displays begin

My parent’s grean house is stuffed full of garden tools and treasures. The sort of controlled chaos of items required to create the garden of their dreams. What is hidden from view in this photograph is all the plant starts that are on the table and floor being prepped.

My parents take pride in their yard, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to call it the best in the neighborhood. Growing up I never really put much thought into all the work it takes. But last summer my wife and I got married in their backyard. I spent much of the spring helping them prepare, building new rock walls, planting trees, weeding and laying down new dirt. It was a great excuse for my mom to get my dad to do all the improvements they had been putting off for years. It also gave me a new appreciation for gardening.
