Holiday Stress Face?
Good Sunday Morning,
Can you believe it is already Thanksgiving? Have you gone into stress mode yet? What is it about the holidays that causes so much stress anyway? Family. Family is the reason for so much stress. It doesn't matter if you come from the most functional or dysfunctional family, the stress is the same. this is the number one reason for breakouts and unruly skin during the holiday season. Just one more thing you can blame on your family, ha ha ha. Okay, so how do you keep your skin looking its best during the holidays? One fun and easy way is to whip up some homemade facial masks. You're cooking anyway right? and if you put the food on your face it won't end up on your hips. Just sayin.
It is the enzymes in the cranberries that will exfoliate, stimulate, and brighten your skin. Follow the masque with your favorite moisturizer.
Cranberry Facial Masque:
3/4 cup fresh cranberries
1/2 cup seedless red grapes
1 envelope plain gelatin
4 tsp. ground steel cut oatmeal
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Here's what you do:
1. Puree the cranberries and seedless grapes in a blender.2. Mix in the gelatin, oat powder and lemon juice and blend until it forms a paste.3. Put the mixture into the fridge for an hour.4. Take out and let it sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.5. Apply the facial mask and let it soak in for 20-30 minutes.6. Rinse with warm water
015 Lake district holiday Tuesday1 Not a pretty cake
Such an ugly cake, but it tasted fantastic. I didn't get much opportunity to cook over the holiday as it was that crammed but I did bake this coffee-mocha cake. Seperate coffee and chocolate sponges with a coffee butter icing. I can bake delicous cakes, but my presentation leaves much to be desired!
There are still masses of these photo's to come and good job too because at the moment, there are very few photo ops.
Last night was quite superb with my training. The training is irrelavant but it was something that was said during the break. One of the girls was late and when we stopped for the break she said that all she noticed when she came in was the skirt I was wearing, it looked fantastic on me. To which another girl piped in, that she really like my cardigan! This was not simple flattery, the way it was said was genuine and it really took me by suprise. I managed to say my thanks and then we gathered together and talked clothes for 20 minutes, heaven!!!
And then at the end of the night, one of the trainers and also a woman, commented on my necklace.
