Solar Heater Parts

working on solar water heater
we painted hose black to better absorb the solar energy. wood on top and bottom make the tin rigid and easier to move. underneath there is additional cross pieces at either end. you can see a part of these cross pieces extending out at the top right corner. four of these create handles for carrying the heater. hose coils into centre, goes in low depression to centre of other coil and spirals out. a valve at either end than controls flow and allows this to be disconnected for service or moving.

Actually, there are a few minor details still to be completed, like insulating the hot water tank. And there are always more projects, like our newest plan: to build the lower part of the tower into a chicken coop so that we can raise chickens for fresh eggs!
