Heading to Florida in about a week. Thinking about stopping in Savannah Georgia on the way down, then Brunswick, Jacksonville, St Augustine where the oldest school is. Now Daytona Beach is nice so give it maybe a day. Thinking about Cocoa Beach, any thought from others reading this? Then about 264 miles from where I might be is South Beach Miami...is that a place to go and detect & use that nice digital camera I have??

Help me out give me your thoughts on places to stop, things to see and good food to eat. Remember I will be starting in Ohio and end @ South Beach Miami.

This is Ashley. I promise this is not a candid shot. I had asked him if I could take his picture and he agreed and promptly went back to work. We were drawn to Ashley because of his metal detector. He had gotten a signal that something was hiding in the dirt so he was digging with both a garden spade and his hands. He told us that he uses the metal detector nearly every weekend and that he's been able to find some gold rings and confederate bullets, but nothing really of major value. He seemed pretty shy but really didn't mind that I took his photo.
