First Christmas Photo Album
- The First Christmas is the fourth studio album released by American country music singer Doug Stone, released in September 1992. It was the first and only Christmas album of Stone's career. No singles were released from the album, although "Sailing Home for Christmas" was made into a music video.
- A photographic album, or photo album, is a collection of photographs, generally in a book. Some albums have compartments which the photos may be slipped into; other albums have heavy paper with a sticky surface covered with clear plastic sheets, in which photos can be put.
- Photo Album is a compilation DVD released in 2005 that contains all eight of Nickelback's music videos released up to that date. The first seven videos had already been released on the previous DVD The Videos.
- The Photo Album is the third studio album by indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie, released on October 9, 2001, on Barsuk Records.
The first noel
Today I start my December Daily album as inspired by Ali Edwards. I took a few photos today -- One of Todd as it's his first day at Key Bank (so excited!), one of the yucky weather (decidedly not snowy and pretty) and a few of the girls putting the "necklaces" on the little artificial tree on the front porch.
As I was driving home from work today, I happened upon the "all Christmas music all the time" station and found myself humming along with some favorite carols. For some reason, they always make me feel a little weepy, especially when I hear them for the first time of the season. They cause an emotional reaction -- memories brought to the fore, wishes for this season, hopes for my children to feel the magic I always feel this time of year, and some sadness as I miss those who are not with us anymore. I lost my grandfather on Christmas Day 10 years ago this year -- and Christmas has not been quite as completely joyous since; those memories are always just over there, peeking in on my consciousness.
Now, that's not to say that our family doesn't have a fantastic time, and doesn't celebrate with great love and wonder. But it may explain why the carols make me tear up a bit from time to time.
Given this acknowledgment, this year I am choosing to just let it happen. If I feel sad, so be it. And I'm thinking my photos for the album may represent Christmas carols -- a visual interpretation of my own Christmas soundtrack this year.
And so I begin at the beginning, with The First Noel, and my Ainsley-oos bejeweling the tree.
Aidan: The First Year
I am really not an Apple fan at all. I was skeptical at first about how these would turn out, but now, I definitely recommend Apple's print product. These are products from Apple that I had created on iPhoto.
The Christmas cards are for all our friends. The calendars was for grandma, aunt, uncle and whoever that cares. The book was for the wife. She needed a photo album so I thought I gave it a try.
They all came out really good! All were printed on high quality paper. The colors came out perfect on all the materials, exactly like you've seen on your screen.
If anyone has an Apple I recommend ordering from them. Oh, and the delivery was super fast, within a few days.
