Day 42 of my Fifty Fifty challenge. 50 days with the 50mm lens
found a book in a charity shop this week called "The Homelovers Book of Fine Prints" dated 1961.
On page 10 I found this picture "The Lord turned and looked upon Peter ... and Peter remembered" by Herbert Beecroft, painted in the 1930's.
This picture was used by the National Sunday School Union, and I can even remember it from my childhood.
I find it amazing now that I never questioned that the man in the image was white skinned, had long red hair and blue eyes, but then how could I believe in a Jesus Christ that was not like me?
He did remind me of someone though, like a sort of a Paul Newman /1960's rock star hybrid
The title is from the film 'Almost Famous' because it reminded me of one of the hippy characters in the film, however, the title does have other connotations considering the meaning of the real title.
