Tonight the boys are having kids over to watch ET, so we had to buy Reeces Pieces, and IBC was on sale so I also acquired it for their guests.

Finally, the Tootsie Fruit Rolls and German Raspberries are rare so I picked them up for a rainy day.

You know what. Right now i am actually satisfied with the way i look. I mean i dont think i look amazing. I'm not built like brad pitt with abs of awesomeness and a penis made of snickers bars? Wow. That was weird. I look like the reluctant hero who has an awesome past where he killed people or something awesome. I look like friggn' bruce willis in die hard....i look like wolverine in the comics....i just look like the slightly overweight hero that drinks, but kicks so much ass it doesn't matter. I'm going to keep going and losing weight and healthy, but i just thought i would say that for the first time i am happy with myself physically. I've always loved myself (sometimes twice a night...ZING!!), but not always physically. Looking like an upside down bowling pin isn't my idea of body by jake. I still want to target some areas.....like my awesome love handles that are really holding strong on the side there. Overall though, i am happy. I look good. Anyway, i just wanted to say that. One a huge shitty side note....my favorite god damn show on t.v. was cancelled. The Black Donnellys. Sons of bitches. I was just talking about t.v. was getting better. I guess they heard me and decided that i was too awesome to have my life and the black donnellys. Assholes. Get this shit....they are replacing it with "The Real Wedding Crashers"....that's right kids another pile of shit reality show. Awesome. Good job. Cram more reality down our throats. As if seeing 30 people slaughtered on the news today wasn't enough. Which i'm not even going to talk about because well....it blows dog balls and something should be done about guns and people. Everybody knows that though. I dont have to say it again. So i'm just sorry to everybody that it effected. My cousin goes there and was on the floor in the library during the whole thing i think.......she's pregos. That's the first time one of those things has actually hit close to home for me. Which is making me feel pretty awesome right about now. Anyway, enough aboot that. Speaking of aboot i'm going to move to Canada.....dont they have less guns? Also, free health care and avril lavinge.....man i like her. She wore gray underwear in that one video where she pretended to make pee pee in that department store. Anything gray on a girl makes me crazy horny. Sorry about that, but it's true. I wonder why gray though. I love gray underwear more than anything in the world i think. It's just a good color that makes me immediatly think about sex for some reason. I'm a weirdo. Wow i am running off at the mouth this evening. Ok i'll stop. I had two bars today. For lunch i had subway....i had a salad actually. I turned the 6 inch turkey into a salad. It was pretty bitchin. For dinner i had my moms meatloaf, some veggies and some awesome potatoes. It was good times. I think i might stop the picture a day weight loss thing at 100 days. Possibly with a big nude reveal at the end. I'll show everybody that 40 pounds does equal an inch. If i hit 200 that would be a little over 80 pounds. That's 2 inches....for a grand total of 27 inches of man. I was 25 before....flaccid. Haha. Anyway, goodnight kids.

Range
Historically cheetahs were found throughout Africa and Asia from South Africa to India. They are now confined to parts of eastern and southwestern Africa and Iran.

Behavior

Found mostly in open and partially open savannah, cheetahs rely on tall grasses for camouflage when hunting. They are diurnal (more active in the day) animals and hunt mostly during the late morning or early evening. Only half of the chases, which last from 20-60 seconds, are successful.

Cheetahs knock their prey to the ground and kill with a suffocating bite to the neck. They must eat quickly before they lose the kills to other bigger or more aggressive carnivores.

Cheetahs are also typically solitary animals. While males sometimes live with a small group of brothers from the same litter, females generally raise cubs by themselves for about a year.

Threats
The cheetah’s future is uncertain due to a variety of threats. The biggest is habitat loss due to human encroachment. In addition, they often deal with declines in prey and conflicts with humans. There is also high cub mortality due to predation by carnivores like lions and hyenas that are in competition with the cheetah, as well as genetic inbreeding which leads to abnormalities.

New Year, New resolutions, New Shoes.




New Year, New resolutions, New Shoes.







With this post I open 2007.
Before anything else, let’s say "I wish you all the best for this new year 2007"


Why is it the first picture that Jessica post for 2007, and there is no Jessica in it.
Still haven't got a chance to properly dress up and all to do a proper photo and I want it to be good.
Instead of that I want to show up two of my new pair of shoes. Well the only new ones are the red ones (only used them bitsy in home to try them on and mold them to my fatty feet). The brown ones already used them a bit, even dancing in them.
I like those shoes with short roundy tips, I think they make the feet look shorter (maybe I am just crazy), and the red ones look so elegant, and the brown ones have that cute flower.
But enough of shoes, as if it were not enough that as of now I have more girl shoes than boy shoes (Oh my, that’s creepy)

Now to this year resolutions, I have to move over the ones I missed from last year (but I will change one a bit), and to add a few more for this year.

So here they are:

first last year failures

1- Loose some of the extra weight - I know, it’s the one that most people say and the one least accomplished (I even failed it last year) but this year I will try it with a new focus.
2- Decide if I really want to tell someone about Jessica (changed from telling to deciding)

next the new ones

3- Go out as Jessica during day light (that's spooky)
4- Go and do a regular activity as Jessica (something like going to buy an ice cream, or the movies, or shopping, something day to day)
5- Get a nail job or manicure
6- Ask about the hair removal (just ask, depending on the answer might decide to give it a try, and no longer need to ...yuik..)

and finally the continuation of a few things

7- Continue going out as Jessica and have fun ( at least go out dancing the same number of times as last year)
8- Keep letting the hair grow

yep those 8 sound right, let’s see in one year how many of them I did.

About my new focus to the weight loss, well I decided to start with the exercise, so if I do exercise one day I put one point, but if I didn't do exercise I took point one away. NO shopping, No new clothes or stuff, no fancy meals, unless I do a specific set of points.
Basically doing exercise I got reward, not doing it I don't get reward, too many bad points I get punishment (but I won't think of that, since I plan not to get bad points)

a little about tyson.

Tyson, or as I call him "Ty Ty" was born on may 8th 2010. He was a very shy puppy, never really wanting to leave your lap. He was quite happy there. But as he grew, he became more and more outgoing. I always say that he's a crack on the loose because of the way he's always on the 'go'. He's happiest when he's outside running or swimming. He's not the type of dog that can survive w/o having much exercise. He MUST have exercise or you will regret it. If he's bored he will dig/howl/become really jumpy and exuberant when you go outside with him. He's most content running around with a stick in his mouth or swimming out to fetch sticks. He's a stick maniac,he loves anything to do with them. He also loves anything that squeaks, he will squeak the toy till you take it away from him. He's what I call a 'true' apbt. He has the form/style of the pits in the old days and the personality to match them. He's a very fit dog, no fat what so ever. It doesn't matter how much you may feed him he always works it off when he's out running around with me. When he becomes of age i'm going to purchase him a weight pulling harness, and if he loves to pull then i'm going to enter him into some contests. If not, then i'm going to put him to work in either agility or obedience. He's a very loving dog, has no enemies loves everyone and everything. He's a very loyal, goofy, loving dog. He's such a spazz sometimes as well. He has filled in that missing piece of my heart. He's my very first apbt, he will always have a special place in my heart. He's my baby boy, not a dog. I wouldn't give him up for the world.

Praise be to Allaah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to sleep sometimes on a mattress, sometimes on a leather mat, sometimes on a mat made of palm leaves, sometimes on the floor, sometimes on a bed, sometimes on the sand, and sometimes on a black cloak.

‘Abbaad ibn Tameem said, narrating from his paternal uncles: I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) lying on his back in the mosque, putting one leg on top of the other. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 475; Muslim, 2100).

His mattress was made of leather stuffed with palm fibres, and he had a coarse woollen cloth that he would fold over twice and sleep on.
The point is that he slept on a mattress and covered himself with a blanket. He said to his wives: “Jibreel never came to me whilst I was under the blanket of any one of you apart from ‘Aa’ishah.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3775).

His pillow was also leather stuffed with palm fibres.
When he went to bed to sleep, he would say: “Allaahumma bismika ahyaa wa amoot (O Allaah, in Your name I live and die).” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 7394).

He used to put his hands together and blow into them, then recite Qul Huwa Allaahu ahad, Qul a’oodhu bi Rabb il-Falaq and Qul a’oodhu bi Rabb il-Naas [i.e., the last three soorahs of the Qur’aan), then he would wipe his hands over as much of his body as he could, starting with his head and face, and the front part of his body. He would do that three times.

He used to sleep on his right side, putting his right hand under his right cheek, then he would say: “Allaahumma qini ‘adhaabaka yawma tab’ath ‘ibaadaka (O Allaah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your slaves).”

And when he went to bed he used to say: “Al-hamdu Lillaah alladhi at’amanaa wa saqaanaa wa kafaanaa wa aawanaa fakam mimman laa kaafi lahu wa laa mu’wi (All praise is for Allaah, Who fed us and gave us to drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them).” This was narrated by Muslim, who also narrated that he used to say when he went to bed:
“Allaahumma Rabb al-samawaati wa’l-ard wa Rabb al-‘arsh il-‘azeem, Rabbaanaa wa Rabba kulli shay’in, Faaliq al-habb wa’l-nawa wa munzil al-Tawraati wa’l-Injeeli wa’l-Furqaan, a’oodhu bika min sharri kulli shay’in anta aakhidhun bi naasiyatihi. Allaahumma anta al-awwal fa laysa qablaka shay’un, wa anta al-aakhir fa laysa ba’daka shay’un, wa anta al-zaahir fa laysa fawqaka shay’un wa anta al-baatin fa laysa doonaka shay’un. Iqdi ‘annaa al-dayna wa aghninaa min al-faqri (O Allaah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, splitter of the seed and the date-stone, Revealer of the Tawraat and the Injeel and the Furqaan [Qur’aan], I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock [have total mastery over]. O Allaah, You are the First so there is nothing before You, and You are the Last so there is nothing after You. You are al-Zaahir [the greatest and highest] so there is nothing above You, and You are al-Baatin [aware of the subtlest secrets] so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty).” (Narrated by Muslim)

When he woke up from sleep he would say: “Al-hamdu Lillaah alladhi ahyaana ba’d ma amaatana wa ilayhi al-nushoor (Praise be to Allaah Who has brought us back to life after causing us to die, and unto Him is the resurrection).” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6312). Then he would clean his teeth using the miswaak, and recite the last ten aayahs from Soorat Aal ‘Imraan, from the verse (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth…”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:190-200]

I've been battling depression since 2005. I know I keep saying that I wanna lose weight and everything, but how would I go about doing so? I understand that you have to exercise and have a balanced diet, but what should be your calorie intake if your on a diet? The last 2-3 days I haven't been exercising, and I see me going back to being my old self where I eat junk food and everything. I kinda think I have enough on my plate as it is. The waters off, the heats going to be off and we might be getting evicted. So, so I still worry about losing weight or just put it off to the side for now? Nothing has really been going on today, I've just been laying around watching movies. Shaw came over today and gave mom $20. I doubt that'll help with anything. I am sick of being overweight, I wanna be healthy. But any time that I try to start a diet it happens for a couple days to a week or so and then I just completely fail. I need some help. It's 8:37 PM here...and I'm just about ready to go to bed. My hair is gradually starting to get dirty again and I know that I'll have to wash it soon. My sister STILL hasn't gotten back to me and I'm really thinking she's busy. I am so thirsty right now. There's hardly anything to drink here. I had this tropical pepsi thing, and now the after taste of pepsi in my mouth is starting to make me sick. Grrr!!! Have a nice night. <3

Tom DeLonge knows how he'd like people to listen to We Don't Need to Whisper, the debut album from his new group, Angels and Airwaves. "I really want the room to be dark, with black light or a candle," he says. "People should have headphones on, and they should be really comfortable, maybe sitting on the floor, leaning against the bed. I spent a year and a half working on this record, trying my hardest to give people a moment of escapism. All I ask is 50 minutes of a lowered heart rate."
In just over a decade with Blink-182, DeLonge went from the San Diego suburbs to the top of the world. The band sold over 20 million records worldwide, won a wide assortment of MTV awards, and sold out arenas everywhere from London to Tokyo.
So in early 2005, with Blink-182 on a break, DeLonge came to a crossroads. Rather than do a solo album or another version of his well-reviewed side project, Box Car Racer, DeLonge decided to start a new band. He recruited Box Car Racer guitarist David Kennedy, bassist Ryan Sinn (formerly of the Distillers), and drum god Atom Willard (previously of Rocket from the Crypt and the Offspring). The quartet headed into the studio—where they would try anything to find a new sound or a new song.
The name Angels and Airwaves popped into DeLonge's head while he was driving. He wasn't certain about the name at first, but then he realized that "Angels and Airwaves" abbreviated as "AAA"—and that if he inverted the middle A, it spelled AVA, which is also the name of Tom’s daughter.
"This is the next half of Tom DeLonge's life. If you liked anything that I did in the past, this is very much the next step."
"The magic of Blink-182 was that the three of us came together to create this amazing band," he says. "But now there's no holds barred. I get to be me completely with a new group of talented musicians. We are on a different intensity level with this record, and it's something that we can't wait to share with the rest of the world.

On Wed, they super size the fried rice as their daily special. I had not known this when I ordered it, and was quite surprised to find that the mountain of rice appearing at the table was roughly the size of my head, which as people who know me will know, is VERY large.

Tasty yes, but nothing out of the ball park. The kimchi fried rice on GUU on Thurlow is decidedly better IMHO. I think i prefer the gentler touch of the japanese treatment at GUU. I just need to know the kimchi is there, i don't need to KNOW the kimchi is there.

I prepared a homemade pizza tonight from scratch. I love making this pizza ... it is so good and the crust turned out to be perfect this time!

The dough ... it is the best part ...
Ingredients:
* 1 teaspoon white sugar
* 1 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
* 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Directions:
In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. Sprinkle yeast over the top, and let stand for about 10 minutes, until foamy.

Stir the olive oil and salt into the yeast mixture, then mix in the whole wheat flour and 1 cup of the all-purpose flour until dough starts to come together. Tip dough out onto a surface floured with the remaining all-purpose flour, and knead until all of the flour has been absorbed, and the ball of dough becomes smooth, about 10 minutes.

Place dough in an oiled bowl, and turn to coat the surface. Cover loosely with a towel, and let stand in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

When the dough is doubled, tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and divide into 2 pieces for 2 thin crust, or leave whole to make one thick crust. Form into a tight ball. Let rise for about 45 minutes, until doubled.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Roll a ball of dough with a rolling pin until it will not stretch any further. Then, drape it over both of your fists, and gently pull the edges outward, while rotating the crust.

The toppings inluded: pepperoni, ham, bacon, spinich, squash, zucchini, green olives, pressed garlic, scallions, tomato and my secret ingredient ...

Everyone I have ever made this for has loved it ...

Leslie and I met for breakfast on my Saturday in Michigan. Swedish pancakes at Roma's Pizza. (I know the sign says Roma Pizza, but I am sure it is a typo since I have never in all my life heard anyone call it anything but Roma's.) Since taking over the corner restaurant where Hyerdahl's was famous for it's breakfast, Roma's is doing a pretty good job of helping the people in Harbor Country to embrace the change.

Leslie is one of those friends who, after we spend time together, I always leave feeling that I'm a little closer to Jesus. She lives an authentic, earthy, loving, thoughtful life...so rich in her love for God and for her family. We can be talking about eating more vegetables or who we know on facebook and in the end it all leads to how good the Lord is to us and, though we are not perfect at it, how much we want to love Him and others well. That's the kind of conversation that can redeem the calorie content in a platter off swedish cakes.

Ice creams are popular in modern times. But there is a significant place and importance for home made kulfis, Kulfi is traditional Indian style ice cream; in early times when there was no ice cream, preparation of kulfi was only one option available for cool serves.

It is very easy to prepare; the milk is simmered till it is reduced to half and we get a deep rich cream colour. No essence and preservatives are generally added. It is made further rich by adding dry fruits, fresh fruits and saffron for natural colour. It is normally set in special cone shaped moulds, in earthen pots and even in small size kitchen bowls.

Though with the change in times, professionals have started making different versions, with the additions of natural and artificial colours, essence and preservatives so that kulfi can be stored for a longer time.

I have tried to present here a variety of kulfis which are easy to make with the use of few ingredients. They can be consumed in small quantity even everyday.

This is one of my most tried-and-true cake recipes and it's one of the few recipes that has transcended my switch to a healthier lifestyle and made that journey with me. It used to be a bundt cake and then we had a potluck Thursday for someone's birthday at work and I decided to make it in a two-layer form and "ice" it with a whipped topping/pudding combination that I became fond of after starting Weight Watchers. I was shocked at how popular it was. Women were practically clawing each other's eyes out to get at this cake. Well. Not really. But you know.

I gave out a ton of copies of recipes and I could not believe this shit, but word traveled about this cake so much that a couple of people from other locations actually e-mailed me to ask for the recipe for this cake they had heard about second hand. I was completely floored.

Lemon-Blueberry Cake

Ingredients:

* 1 box white cake mix
* 1 oz box fat free, sugar free lemon instant pudding mix
* 1 cup egg substitute
* 1 cup nonfat sour cream
* 4 tbsp Land O Lakes light butter, melted
* 1/3 cup lemon juice (about 2 medium sized lemons)
* 1 tbsp grated lemon zest
* 8 oz blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Optional Icing:

* 1 oz box fat free, sugar free lemon instant pudding mix
* 1 cup skim milk
* 1 8 oz tub Cool Whip Free

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Combine all ingredients except blueberries and beat on low for 1 minute. Scrape sides and beat on medium for 2 minutes until fluffy.
3. Fold blueberries into batter and spoon into a prepared bundt pan (OR: two layer cake pans). Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until done for bundt cake, closer to 30 minutes for a layer cake.
4. Cool 20 minutes in pan on rack, then invert onto rack. Cool completely before cutting if making bundt cake, or before icing, if making layer cake.
5. For icing, beat the pudding mix and milk together until thick, 1-2 minutes. Then stir the cool whip in and use it to fill and ice the cake.

16 servings: 178 calories / 4 grams fat / 0 grams fiber = 3.8 WW points per serving

And if you want something richer and aren't watching calories, use the regular non-light versions of the dairy and pudding ingredients. And hey, use lemon-flavored buttercream. Go for it.

Everyone knows that if the house was on fire my guitar would be the first thing I'd grab. I play electric and acoustic depending on my mood...every once in a while I get stuck on a song because I love it so much I go through periods where I will sing/play that song over and over again because I love it so much...I call them "sticky songs" LOL Two of them are Kung Fu Grip by JB and Catch Me by Demi Lovato...not sure why certain songs just...they're awesome. But I also like playing my own songs that I have written, of course :)

I consider being able to express myself musically a blessing. It is an invaluable outlet for me, just like running is....but music means more to me :) People come and go, they stand by your side and let you down, but your musical instrument is always there for you, and it's always the same, always waiting for you to make it come to life :)
I can control it....which is not always true for my blood sugar so it's refreshing to know that at least some things work out the way I want it and expect it to :)

Momma J reminded me the other day that I really needed a new case for my iPhone. mine had cracks in it and all that so it was about time. this one is a Paul Frank case that I got on ebay for 9 bucks as opposed to 30 or 35 bucks at the Apple Store. HA! :D
and as London Tipton would say, "OOOOO SPARKLES!!!!" LOL so yeah I think this case is pretty rockin' :)

These bran muffins were so tender and delicate, they practically fell apart when I tried to smear some butter on their insides. None of that cloying, overly-sweet heaviness was evident here—these were light little muffins, and just sweet enough.

Here's the recipe:

Bran Muffins

1 ? cups bran (I used oat bran.)
? cup boiling water
? cup (heaping) vegetable shortening
? cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 ? cups all-purpose flour
1 ? teaspoons baking soda
? teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 400F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan or line with paper muffin cups.

Place ? cup of the bran in a small bowl and pour the boiling water over it. Let stand for 5 minutes, until soft.

Meanwhile, cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the egg. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk, mixing only enough to blend. Stir in the softened bran and the remaining 1 cup of bran.

Spoon the batter into the muffin cups and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.

Makes 1 dozen muffins.

1cup all bran cereal
1 1/2 cups milk in a large bowl set aside for 5 minutes
add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 egg
mix with a fork.

1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/4teaspoon cinnamon. add dry ingredients into wet.
stir only until wet DO NOT OVER MIX. divide batter evenly into muffin cups. bake 20 minutes

apple wine is very famous in my hometown and in the nearby region. the frankfurt apple wine is a crisp, clear wine with the distinct harmony of a tart wine with fruit flavor of the apple. fully fermented with 5.5% alcohol by volume, the apple wine contains no additives. it is extremely low on sugar, as well as very low on calories. with the natural fruit acids, the wine is very soothing and enhances digestion.

The Evil Queen of Far, Far Away has died today. She was found unconscious at the bottom of a flight of stairs. Initially, it was thought she had fallen down the stairs and possibly broken her neck. But a poisoned apple with a single bite was also found at the scene.

Palace workers report that the Queen, always obsessed with her looks, had started a low calorie diet and was eating a lot of fruit and vegetables. It is believed that she accidentally bit the fruit, not realizing it was poisoned.

Insiders hint at possible foul play, however. It is no secret that the Queen, although quite beautiful, was feared and hated. Snow White, her stepdaughter, is currently away on business and not considered a suspect. Mirror, Mirror on the Wall had no comment.

June 1st I was 251. July 1, 245. 244.8 to be exact. But I can't round that down in all good conscience, so I am going with 245. I averaged 1 1/2 punds a week this month. That is pretty sensible weight loss, I guess. 95 pounds total, since January 2nd.

One of my new year resolutions was to lose 50 lbs and change my diet to be more sensible.

I haven't been a big appetite eater since early high school. But ever since my early 30s, I have let work, my jobs, control my diet. That means one to two non-sensible meals a day and crappy snacks in between. As of January 2nd, I have been eating three sensible meals and snacks that are low in calories.

When I stepped on the scale this morning, I had lost nine pounds!!! Granted it's probably all water weight, but it was a nice surprise and enough to keep me motivated for another week. =)
