Noise and sharpness test
This is a noise test for the Canon Powershot SX30 IS.
Please take a look at this picture in full size (768x1024) to see the noise result straight out of camera.
I took 3 pictures, ISO 800, under equal conditions (EXIF data belongs to the middle picture)
The camera has a built-in software routine for sharpening the images, after they were captured.
This image compares low, medium and high sharpening.
The software sharpening brings in noise and can make a difference of about one fill ISO step.
Without sharpening, the pictures stay very blurry.
There is no general advice if you should use high or low sharpening. generally it depends on how much noise you are willing to accept for a sharp picture.
The setup for the software sharpening is accessible via the myColors menue, select custon colors, press and select the sharpness.
that text edit was harder than i imagined.
but i do like this.
Photography is what I do.
It's my passion. And I am tired of all these people who claim they love it too, but take no time to learn about it. They do it for a trend. It's all noise to me.
I have been in a positive mood and everything I portray are things that have been trying to kill my mood.
But I promise my next upload will be something with more positivity behind it. (:
