Bar Harbor was first settled in 1763 on Mount Desert Island along the central coast of Maine. For over 100 years it has been a popular tourist destination, first by wealthy Gilded Age millionaires, and more recently by visitors to adjacent Acadia National Park.
Bronx Bar in Detroit
Located on Second Avenue in Detroit, right near Wayne State University. They promise a "high class do at dive-bar prices". There is a rumor that when Jack White of the White Stripes is in town, this is his favorite drinking place. Personally, I always used to see him at Bastone in Royal Oak, but who am I to dampen this urban tale.
