Hammered Silver Tray
- an open receptacle for holding or displaying or serving articles or food
- (Trays) Traying or "doing trays" refers to a driving technique that is similar to drifting. Trays are performed when a fast-food tray is placed under the rear tires and then engaging the handbrake.
- A flat, shallow container with a raised rim, typically used for carrying food and drink, or for holding small items
- A tray is a shallow platform designed for carrying things. It is larger than a salver, a diminutive version commonly used for lighter and smaller servings, and it can be fashioned from numerous materials, including silver, brass, sheet iron, wood, melamine, and papier-mache.
Missing you... yes you!
As one travels, one enjoys breakfast, but not alone... for even the newspaper brings little entertainment!
And all of the ways that I have tried to understand
Have taken me further from the place that I had planned
And maybe the reason I have strayed so far from home
Is I have insisted upon traveling alone
The silver and the gold, silver and the gold are laying here beside me
But this is getting old, this is getting old
'Cause they will never find me
But will you come around, will you come around
Come around and find me?
And take me by the hand, take me by the hand
And walk along beside me?
And I'm not saying that I will never know
But never with the weight of my ego
Hammering down upon my mind
Insuring me that I will find nothing at all, nothing at all
TRAVELING ALONE by SHERWOOD SCHWARTZ
"Patience is the Crown of Success."
Beautiful large, over 2 feet in diameter, brass tray with chased and inlaid solid silver and copper accentuating the design. The origin is Arabia, but I don't know the meaning of the script. I would love to find out what it says. Found this at the Vancouver, GoodWill.
